About Outdoor Group Yoga
What I Do
Every Sunday, I bring folks together for yoga in Cubbon Park - it's the one thing I look forward to all week. My style is simple: breathe, move, just be. Doing yoga out in the open, with the city buzzing in the distance and the grass underfoot, feels different. If you’re tired of studio walls, this might be your thing.
What It Feels Like
This isn't the intense, perfection-chasing kind of class. The vibe is light, sometimes a bit unpredictable - we’ve had sitar music join in, dogs lounging, and people just soaking up the morning. I want everyone to feel they belong, whether you’re super flexible or just starting.
How We Practice
- Hatha Vinyasa group flow is what I lead, but I mix it up depending on the mood and the crowd.
- Surya Namaskaras for energy, grounding poses for chill.
- Breathwork is huge for us - syncing breath with movement feels surprisingly calming.
- We always end with relaxation, sometimes Yoga Nidra, letting everything settle.
After Yoga
Once we wrap up, people hang around. Sometimes there’s homemade cake, hummus, or chilled majjige (buttermilk). Chatting with everyone after is honestly my favorite part. That simple connection - marete hogidde (I had almost forgotten) how much it means.
All You Need to Know

My Story
Hey, I’m Rakshith. My childhood was all runny nose and clogged nostrils, but Jala néti on Sundays changed the game. My body’s been through injuries - shoulder popping out, ligament tear - but muscle memory is wild, you know? Gokarna trip made me rethink beaches. Now I’m just letting go, moving with my breath, and loving those crisp mornings under green trees, doing yoga. Feels kinda magical, honestly.
My Work
Yoga Styles I Teach - I teach Hatha, Vinyasa, Ashtanga, Pranayama, Iyengar Yoga alignment, and AcroYoga partner sessions.
Experience Over Instructions - I let you find your own rhythm, guide you to discover unexpected joy through movement.
Trust and Vulnerability - We work with what you’ve got - sometimes push, sometimes heal, always trusting the process.
Yoga in Cubbon Park - Join our sessions outdoors. We stretch, connect, and maybe share ragi cake and majjige after.
