This shows my own progress in Vrischikasana (Scorpion Pose) over eleven months. The journey of recovery is not linear; it requires patience and trust in the process, a lesson I bring into every session with my students.
Hands-on adjustments are key to my teaching. I provide careful, precise guidance to help you find safe alignment in poses like this preparation for Kapotasana, ensuring your body learns to move correctly and confidently.
There's a special energy when we practice together outdoors. In this group session, I'm helping a student find more depth in a twist, creating a supportive community atmosphere where everyone can grow.
Using props like a simple strap and a wall, we can safely explore inversions. This technique takes gravitational pressure off the spine, providing relief for back pain and demonstrating how we can adapt yoga for therapeutic benefits.

About Yoga for Injury Recovery & Therapy

Why I Do This

I've been through the mess of injuries myself. Two shoulder dislocations, a torn ligament - my body has been my toughest teacher. Recovery was slow, sometimes frustrating, but it taught me patience and how to actually listen to my body. What I offer comes straight from that lived experience, not just theory.

How We Work Together

Every injury is different, so we build your practice together. I use lots of props - blocks, belts, bolsters - not to make things easy, but to keep things safe. Iyengar yoga is my base, so expect things to be detailed and careful.

  • Rope wall therapy yoga is a big part of my toolkit. It helps decompress your spine and eases back pain, especially if regular movement feels risky.
  • I do hands-on adjustments, guiding you step by step. It’s about teaching your body how to move safely and rebuilding trust with it.

Not Just About Muscles

Physical healing is only half the story. I’ve struggled with ADHD, and yoga gave me tools for focus and calming my mind. Breathwork and relaxation (Yoga Nidra) help quiet your nervous system and support recovery.

What to Expect

Progress isn’t always straight. Some days, flexibility feels lost - but your body remembers. Rediscovering movements feels like magic. Sometimes I catch myself saying, “Marete hogidde” (I had almost forgotten), when an old movement returns. It’s a journey, not a quick fix, but we trust the process together.

My Story

Hey, I’m Rakshith. My childhood was all runny nose and clogged nostrils, but Jala néti on Sundays changed the game. My body’s been through injuries - shoulder popping out, ligament tear - but muscle memory is wild, you know? Gokarna trip made me rethink beaches. Now I’m just letting go, moving with my breath, and loving those crisp mornings under green trees, doing yoga. Feels kinda magical, honestly.
