Partner and Acro Yoga Sessions in Cubbon Park
Move with someone else in the open air. We use partner yoga and acro basics to build trust, refine your balance, and find a rhythm together on the grass of Cubbon Park.
Exploring Urdhva Dhanurasana in a partner variation. This requires immense faith in your partner and your own strength, a beautiful metaphor for trust.
Another angle of this partner backbend, showcasing the balance and stability needed from both the base and the flyer. It's a dance of giving and receiving support.
A variation of a therapeutic acro yoga pose. This kind of partner work helps in releasing the spine and requires clear communication and trust.
The same pose, showing the connection and physical support that defines partner yoga. You learn to rely on someone else while holding your own.
A playful partner pose that builds core strength and connection. It's all about finding a shared center of gravity and enjoying the process together.
The smiles say it all. Partner yoga isn't just about the poses; it's about the fun, laughter, and shared experience of trying something new together.
About Exploring Trust: Partner & Acro Yoga
Partner yoga is less about performing acrobatics and more about active listening with your body. You will learn to read your partner's cues—where they are holding tension, when they need more stability, and how to communicate without speaking a word. We focus on foundational, safe movements so you do not need to be a gymnast to start. It is a quiet, physical conversation that often ends in genuine laughter.
Building Trust Through Movement
Yoga is often a solo journey, but exploring it with a partner adds a layer of depth you cannot find alone. In our sessions, we use AcroYoga principles not to push boundaries to the extreme, but to learn how to rely on one another. Letting go of your own center to support someone else is a powerful, grounding practice.
Why Practice Outdoors?
Practicing in Cubbon Park is different. The uneven, natural ground forces you to engage your stabilizer muscles and find balance in an unpredictable environment. It takes the pressure off the 'perfect pose' and puts the focus back on connection with nature and the people around you.
What We Focus On
- Safe Foundations: We prioritize stability and alignment. You will learn the mechanics of supporting weight and being supported, ensuring everyone feels secure throughout the flow.
- Clear Communication: Partner work requires verbal and non-verbal cues. We practice how to give feedback clearly so both partners feel comfortable and heard.
- Hatha & Vinyasa Roots: While we integrate partner poses, we keep the core of our Hatha Vinyasa practice. Expect to move through sequences that build warmth before we transition into deeper, interactive shapes.
- Shared Experience: These sessions are about community. Whether you bring a friend or meet a new partner at the park, the goal is mutual growth, playfulness, and leaving the session feeling connected.
Whether you are a seasoned yogi looking to test your balance or a beginner curious about movement, these sessions offer a space to explore, fail, try again, and smile. Just bring your mat and an open mind.
