Community Yoga Gatherings in Cubbon Park

The connection doesn't stop when we roll up our mats. These gatherings in Cubbon Park are about more than just movement; they are where we share space, stories, and the quiet joy of a Sunday morning.

This is what community looks like. Gathering after class to share food and conversation is a tradition. It’s a simple, joyful extension of our practice.

Session 80 of our "yoga in the wilderness". This group photo captures the spirit of our community, growing stronger with each passing week in Cubbon Park.

Another Sunday, another wonderful gathering. This was our 79th session, a movement where all your senses can breathe in a park as precious as a jungle in a concrete one.

The day we united Body, Mind & Tastebuds. A perfect Sunday blending yoga among the trees with delicious, lovingly prepared food and unfiltered, joyful conversations.

Even our furry friends understand the vibe. This sweet dog found a comfortable spot right on the mat, reminding us to relax and just "do you".

The only kind of mat invasion we all agree on. It's moments like these, during our final relaxation, that make our outdoor practice so unique and memorable.

About this collection

Come for the Hatha flow, but stay for the conversation. After our 90-minute session, we always hang around on the grass to share ragi cake, homemade snacks, and honest chats. It is an informal, community-led space where you can connect with people beyond the usual studio scene.

More Than Just a Practice

Yoga in the city often feels restricted by four walls, mirrors, and strict schedules. My community sessions in Cubbon Park are the opposite. We lean into the unpredictability of the outdoors. You might hear the distant city hum, feel the breeze under the trees, or even find a friendly dog curling up on your mat during Shavasana. It is raw, real, and refreshingly human.

What Happens on a Sunday

Every Sunday, we gather for a 90-minute Hatha and Vinyasa flow. We start by grounding ourselves through breathwork and move into Surya Namaskaras to build energy. Because the surface is natural, uneven ground, it forces us to be more present with our balance and alignment. It is not about perfect posture; it is about finding your rhythm.

The After-Session Social

This is the heart of the community. Once we roll up our mats, the session continues with a picnic-style gathering. We often bring homemade snacks, like ragi cake or chilled majjige, to share. This is when the conversations really open up. It is a space to vent, laugh, and connect with people who are also looking for a slower, more mindful way to spend their weekend.
