My Personal Yoga Practice & Journey
This is my practice—a mix of healing, movement, and the occasional Sunday flow in Cubbon Park. It is not about perfect poses; it is about showing up.
This was me practicing post rehab for a ligament injury. The body remembers, and it heals. Moving through these spinal extensions in Cubbon Park felt so good, a sign of recovery.
Finding the full expression of Hanumanasana on a misty morning at Nandi Hills. My practice often takes me to beautiful natural places, deepening my connection to both yoga and the world around me.
The same pose, a different perspective. For me, asana is a way to wander and wonder, exploring the limits and possibilities of the body.
An expression of Koundinyasana B on a wet path. Arm balances like this teach me about focus, breath, and finding grace under pressure.
A moment of liberation. Holding this split against a backdrop of misty trees felt like becoming one with the landscape. This is the freedom I seek in my practice.
Use it or lose it. This image shows my body after consistent split training. Flexibility is not permanent; it's a conversation with your body that you must continue having.
Finding my split in a beautiful green archway. The process of gaining flexibility is a journey of patience and rediscovering what the body can do.
About this collection
Most people see the final pose, but the real work happens in the quiet moments of recovery and repetition. My practice is not a static achievement. It is a constant negotiation with my body—dealing with old ligament tears, managing stiffness, and relearning how to move. When you join my sessions, you get the benefit of this trial and error. We do not just stretch; we understand why we are moving, whether we are building strength or giving the body space to heal.
Yoga is a conversation between you and your body. My journey started with Jala néti and evolved through shoulder injuries and ligament tears, teaching me that flexibility is not a permanent state. It is a skill we maintain through consistent, mindful movement.
Whether we are flowing through Hatha Vinyasa or using props for Iyengar-inspired alignment, the goal is always the same: to find ease within the effort. I teach in the open air of Cubbon Park because nature does not demand perfection. You will see dogs lounging, hear the city humming, and feel the grass under your feet. It is grounding.
We work with what you have. If you are recovering from an injury, we use Iyengar principles to find stability. If you are looking for energy, we lean into Vinyasa. For those wanting connection, my AcroYoga partner sessions explore trust and balance. This is not about hitting the deepest stretch or holding a pose because it looks good on camera. It is about the breath. It is about understanding your own scapula protraction or inner silence in a way that serves your daily life. After class, we often share ragi cake or majjige, making the community connection just as important as the practice itself. Come as you are, bring your mat, and let us move.
