Old-School Strength & Conditioning
I don't build gym bodies; I build fighters. My strength and conditioning program focuses on raw, functional power using tires, sledgehammers, and compound lifts. If you are looking for shortcuts, this is not for you. If you are ready to work, I am ready to train you.
Mastering the basics with intensity. This student is performing explosive push-ups, a fundamental bodyweight exercise we use to build chest, shoulder, and tricep power.
We use a variety of calisthenics to build total body control. Here, students practice wall-assisted headstands for shoulder stability, overhead presses, and hanging holds for grip strength.
Building a strong foundation with loaded carries. A student performs a farmer's walk with a loaded trap bar, an excellent exercise for improving grip strength, core stability, and overall toughness.
You don't always need a gym to get a great workout. I demonstrate five effective home cardio exercises, including pull-ups and jumping lunges, that you can do anywhere to stay in shape.
A look into a personal training session focused on heavy lifting. The workout includes deadlifts, a foundational movement for building raw, full-body strength and power.
Motivation gets you started, but discipline keeps you going. A student demonstrates this principle by consistently working on his pull-ups, a true test of relative body strength.
Here are four essential exercises I recommend for every boxer. This includes the plate press, landmine punches, dumbbell jump squats, and plate uppercuts to develop explosive punching power.
A comprehensive strength training session in action. Students perform push-ups, barbell back squats, and tire flips, combining classic lifting with functional conditioning for all-around athletic development.
Building strong and fast shoulders is crucial for boxing. I demonstrate six key exercises using light dumbbells to improve shoulder endurance, speed, and punching power without causing injury.
This is the Navy Seal Burpee, one of the best full-body conditioning exercises. It combines a push-up, mountain climbers, and a jump to build extreme endurance and mental fortitude.
About Old-School Strength & Conditioning
You don't need fancy machines to build real strength. In this program, I use old-school tools—truck tires, sledgehammers, and iron plates—to forge functional, gritty power. We focus on compound movements like deadlifts, squats, and functional bodyweight drills that force your body to work as one unit. If you want a quick fix, this isn't for you. If you are here to sweat, learn, and build a base that can take a beating, we have a spot for you.
The No-Shortcuts Philosophy
At Traditional Boxing Academy in GTB Nagar, strength is not about vanity muscles. It is about durability and explosive power. I structure my sessions to push your limits, focusing on biomechanics rather than isolated gym movements. We use iron plates for heavy lifting, but we also rely on unconventional tools like tractor tires and battle ropes. This keeps your training unpredictable and keeps your mind sharp.
What You Will Actually Do
Every session is a 2-hour, group-based deep dive into endurance and resilience:
- Heavy Lifts: We master the basics. Squats, deadlifts, and bench presses are the foundation. We start from the ground up to ensure your form is perfect before we add weight.
- Functional Movement: You will be flipping tires and wielding sledgehammers. These aren't just drills; they build the kind of grip and back strength that is essential for real-world application.
- Bodyweight Conditioning: We incorporate weighted push-ups, pull-ups, and wrestler-style neck bridges. This builds relative body strength that carries over directly to your boxing technique.
- Cardio: No boring treadmill marathons. We use jumping lunges, battle ropes, and agility ladders to get your heart rate up and build lung capacity.
Who This Is For
This isn't a place to socialize while checking your phone. This is a space for serious trainees—whether you are an athlete looking for an edge, someone serious about body transformation, or a beginner tired of quick-fix gym culture. If you are consistent, you will see results. If you skip steps, you won't. I am here to guide you, but you have to do the work.
