Technique is useless if you gas out in round one. We build your engine through old-school conditioning and functional strength so you can fight hard, not just look fit.

A moment of rest and instruction between intense conditioning sets. Even when you're tired, the mind must stay sharp.

Core strength is fundamental for a fighter. Here, the group is working on ab exercises to build a strong and resilient midsection.

A challenging push-up variation, where a partner provides resistance. We constantly find new ways to push our limits.

A demonstration of explosive push-ups. This type of plyometric exercise builds power and speed in your punches.

Discipline is built in moments like these. A student works on his pull-ups, a fundamental exercise for building back and arm strength.

Agility ladder drills are a staple in our warm-ups. They improve foot speed, coordination, and cardiovascular endurance.

We use a variety of bodyweight exercises to build functional strength, including headstands for shoulder stability and hangs for grip strength.

A group of students, including women, working on strength exercises. We train as a team, pushing and motivating each other.

From sprints to neck-strengthening exercises, our conditioning is comprehensive and designed for the demands of combat sports.

The morning session is in full swing with battle rope exercises and shadow boxing. This is how we start the day strong.

About Strength & Conditioning: Building the Engine

We do not use fancy weight machines that isolate single muscles. Our conditioning is designed around what actually happens in the ring: quick footwork, explosive punches, and the stamina to stay upright for the full duration. You will be doing pull-ups, agility ladder drills, and 120-minute sessions that focus on functional strength, ensuring your muscles serve your fighting technique rather than just looking good in a mirror.

Building the Fighter's Engine

Many gyms focus on aesthetics, but here at Traditional Boxing Academy in GTB Nagar, we focus on performance. When you are in the ring, your body needs to handle high-intensity bursts followed by moments of active recovery. That is why our strength and conditioning programs are based on scientific USSR boxing methods rather than generic bodybuilding.

The Training Split

Our sessions are structured to build three main pillars of physical health:

  1. Explosive Power: We use plyometrics and heavy bag work to ensure your punches have weight behind them, not just speed. You will learn to use your hips and core, not just your arms.
  2. Cardiovascular Endurance: Whether you are prepping for a fight or looking to lose weight, our cardio conditioning mimics the demands of a bout. Expect agility ladder drills, jump rope, and bodyweight circuits that keep your heart rate high.
  3. Core Stability: A fighter without a strong core is an easy target. We prioritize medicine ball work, hanging leg raises, and planks to ensure you have the stability to absorb impact and deliver it.

Why This Method Works

Consistency is the only metric that matters. We do not promise overnight transformations. We provide the equipment, the space, and the drills, but the result comes from your effort. If you follow the routine, you will notice that your endurance improves, your recovery time between rounds drops, and your general mobility increases.

This is not a place for ego lifting. It is a place for hard work. If you are ready to sweat for the right reasons, join us and start building a body that can handle anything.

We do not believe in quick fixes or gym-bro aesthetic training. My team and I build fighters who are built to last, training you with the same rigor I use to prepare my own competitive boxers. If you show up and put in the work, you will see results.
