Become a Yoga Teacher: 200-Hour Certified Courses
Deepen your personal practice and step into the role of a teacher with our Yoga Alliance registered 200-hour course. We blend traditional Ashtanga and Iyengar philosophies with modern anatomy in our intimate Bandra studio.
We offer an in-depth course on the Ashtanga Primary Series, taught with the Iyengar methodology using props to make it accessible for all.
A look at the course inclusions for our Ashtanga program. We cover everything from the foundations of the practice to the philosophy and history behind it.
Yoga is a way of life. This video explains the 8 limbs of Ashtanga yoga, the philosophical foundation that we explore deeply in our Teacher Training Course.
Also known as Yoga Chikitsa (yoga therapy), the Ashtanga Primary Series has a powerful cleansing and toning effect. Learn the full sequence with us.
About our 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training Course (YTTC). It's a transformative journey designed for both aspiring teachers and passionate practitioners.
Yoga is more than just movement. We teach the 8 limbs of Ashtanga as a complete map for living with awareness, balance, and purpose.
We are a Registered Yoga School (RYS) with Yoga Alliance. Our 200-hour YTTC provides authentic, professional education for aspiring teachers.
About Become a Teacher: Certified Courses
Our teacher training is not about memorizing scripts; it is rooted in applied anatomy and biomechanics. We want you to understand exactly how the body moves, which is why we teach you to use props like belts and blocks to modify poses for different body types. You will not just study theory here; our small class sizes allow for mentorship and real-world teaching experience right here at Nargis Villa, ensuring you feel confident in your own voice before you graduate.
A Holistic Approach to Teacher Training
Transitioning from practitioner to teacher requires more than just mastering asanas. At The Yoga House, our 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training Course (YTTC) is designed to give you a solid foundation in the philosophy, history, and science of yoga, grounded in the realities of the modern world.
We are a Registered Yoga School (RYS) with Yoga Alliance, but our curriculum goes beyond standard requirements. We draw from the depth of Satyananda (Bihar School), the precision of Iyengar, and the structure of Ashtanga to help you find your unique teaching style.
What You Will Learn
- Philosophy & History: We explore the 8 Limbs of Ashtanga, Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras, and Hatha Yoga Pradipika to understand the "why" behind the practice.
- Applied Anatomy: You will learn how to look at a body and understand its mechanics, helping you prevent injury and provide effective adjustments.
- Teaching Methodology: We focus on cueing, sequencing, and the art of holding space. You will learn to teach with clarity, kindness, and presence.
- The Business of Yoga: We discuss how to sustain yourself as a teacher, manage ethics, and create a community, not just a class.
The Yoga House Difference
We believe in the power of intimacy. By keeping our batches small, we ensure every student gets personalized feedback on their alignment and teaching technique. You will also have access to internship opportunities within our Bandra studio, giving you a safe, supported environment to start your journey as a teacher.
Whether you are looking to certify to share this path with others or simply want to understand your own body and mind on a deeper level, this is a space for you to evolve.
The Yoga House
We believe yoga is a journey, not a credential. At The Yoga House, we have created a space that feels like home, not a factory for certifications. When you join our training, you aren't just a student—you are part of our community.
