Our spicy pork dry fry is a favourite starter. It's tossed with onions, chillies, and our special mix of spices for a flavour that is both hot and delicious.

This is Gahori manxo logot lai xaak, or pork cooked with mustard leaves. The slight bitterness of the greens perfectly balances the richness of the pork curry.

This is chicken sesame, prepared in an Assamese style. The chicken is coated in a nutty sesame paste, giving it a rich and distinct flavour profile.

For those who like it extra spicy, here is our chicken dry fry with King Chilli. The Raja Marcha gives it a fiery heat that is not for the faint-hearted.

About Pork, Duck & Other Meats

We cook our pork and duck the traditional way—using pungent axone, bamboo shoots, and spicy Raja Mircha for that authentic kick. These dishes have strong, bold flavours that are true to our roots, so please let us know your spice preference when you order.

If you are looking for a true taste of home, you have come to the right place. Our approach to meat is simple: we do not cut corners. Whether it is our Gahori manxo (pork) with mustard leaves or our Haa (duck) curry, we ensure the preparation respects the ingredients.

The Flavours of Home

  • Smoked Pork with Axone: A staple for those who love Naga cuisine. The fermented soybean (axone) adds a pungent, earthy depth that you cannot replicate with standard spices. It is powerful, distinct, and deeply satisfying.
  • Bamboo Shoot Curries: We use bamboo shoots across several preparations to add a unique, slightly sour crunch that cuts through the richness of the pork and chicken.
  • Raja Mircha Heat: For the brave, our dishes featuring King Chilli (Raja Mircha) offer a fiery heat. This is not just 'spicy'—it is a complex, fragrant heat that is fundamental to how we eat back home.

Why it tastes different

We do not believe in mass-producing our gravies. Each curry is prepared with a focus on 'barkat'—abundance. We serve generous portions meant to be eaten with steaming hot Joha rice or sticky rice. Our kitchen in Versova is small, but the flavours are large. If you are new to Northeast Indian cuisine, we recommend starting with a thali to sample the pork or duck alongside our traditional sides like Aloo Pitika and dal. Come by on a weekend to experience the food, the music, and the vibe.

I started this place to share the food I grew up with—it is not just business, it is sharing our roots. Every dish on the menu is something we eat at our own table, made with the same love and fresh ingredients we use at home.
