Authentic Northeast Fish and Traditional Sides
If you are craving real bamboo shoot curries, traditional Manipuri Eromba, or Naga-style fish, you have found the right spot. These dishes bring the true taste of our motherland directly to your table here in Mumbai.
This is fish prepared in the Naga style, served on a banana leaf. The presentation is as traditional as the recipe, which uses local herbs and spices.
A traditional Manipuri fish curry cooked with bamboo shoots. The bamboo gives the dish a unique aroma and a slightly tangy taste that complements the fish perfectly.
This is Eromba, a traditional Manipuri dish. It's made by mashing boiled vegetables with fermented fish and a lot of chilli. It has a very strong and unique flavour.
For those who love spicy salads, this is Manipuri Singju. It's a mix of finely chopped vegetables, herbs, and roasted powders, with a fiery kick from the chillies.
We have delicious vegetarian options too. Here is a Naga-style mixed vegetable stew and a simple, home-style egg curry, both full of flavour.
About Fish, Veggies & Traditional Sides
We never take shortcuts with our ingredients. Whether it is the fermented fish in our Eromba or the bamboo shoot in our curries, you are tasting the exact same bold, traditional flavours we use back home. Please be ready for strong, authentic tastes that are not for the faint-hearted.
Bringing the Motherland to Mumbai
When I started this place, my goal was simple. I wanted people in Mumbai to know that Northeast food is so much more than just a quick bite. It is about deep, fermented flavours, the crunch of bamboo shoots, and the heat of King Chilli.
The Manipuri & Naga Influence
Many of our guests tell me that our Manipuri Eromba is the first thing they want to try. It is a traditional mash of boiled vegetables, fermented fish, and fiery chillies. If you want something fresh, our Singju salad offers that perfect crunch with a spicy kick. For our fish lovers, we prepare our catch in true Naga style, often wrapped in banana leaves to keep the aroma of our local herbs and spices locked in.
More Than Just Meat
I know it can be hard to find good vegetarian options when exploring regional cuisines. That is why we put just as much care into our Naga-style vegetable stews and home-style egg curries. These dishes are cooked with love, using seasonal vegetables that give you that 'barkat' (abundance) feeling on every plate.
Why Visit Us in Andheri?
Our kitchen is small, and we do everything from scratch. We do not keep things frozen or stocked for long. When you walk into our dining space in Andheri, surrounded by Jaapi hats and bamboo lamps, I want you to feel like you have stepped out of the Mumbai hustle and straight into a home kitchen back in the Northeast. Come hungry, and be ready to try something you have likely never had before.
The Taste of Northeast
I opened this place because I wanted to bring the authentic flavours of my home to Mumbai. Every recipe here comes from my own roots, and I love seeing guests try something new and different. Come by for a meal, and you will feel right at home.
