Yogic Wisdom: Deepening Your Philosophy of Yoga
Yoga is not just exercise; it is a way to understand your own story. Join me to explore the philosophy behind the poses and find clarity when your mind feels stuck.
The core of my teaching is to help you realize: main vyakti nahi hoon, main shakti hoon. I am not the person, I am the power. This understanding comes when we drop the ego and recognize the divine force that moves through us all.
Just as flowing water remains pure, a mind that lets thoughts flow remains clear. If your mind feels stuck, come to nature. Prakriti ke paas aaiye. Here, by the stream, we learn to let go and find our natural state of purity.
We integrate wisdom from the Bhagavad Gita directly into our asana practice. The verse 'samatvam yoga uchyate' teaches us that equanimity in success and failure is the true meaning of yoga.
Siddhasana, the Accomplished Pose, is one of the most important postures for meditation. It calms the nervous system, activates the lower chakras, and prepares the body and mind for deep states of serenity and pranayama.
A smile is the simplest expression of inner peace. The shloka 'Asato Ma Sadgamaya' is a prayer to be led from ignorance to truth, from darkness to light, and from mortality to self-realization.
My goal is to guide you towards the light of spiritual knowledge. This journey begins with the understanding that you are not just the body or mind, but the eternal self.
About The Philosophy of Yoga (Yogic Wisdom & Darshan)
Most people approach yoga as a way to stretch, but the real magic happens when you understand the 'why' behind the pose. When we explore concepts like samatvam (equanimity) from the Bhagavad Gita or the stillness of Siddhasana, we aren't just doing a workout; we are training the mind to handle life's challenges with balance. If you have been searching for a deeper connection to your practice, this is where we begin.
Darshan is seeing—seeing the truth beneath the layers of daily confusion. My sessions are grounded in ancient wisdom, drawing from the Upanishads, the Gita, and traditional Hatha principles, but they are built for the modern individual.
You might come to me because your back hurts or you feel stressed, but we fix that by looking at the roots. We use:
- Meditation & Pranayama: To manage the flow of prana when your mind feels like a cluttered stream.
- Mythology as a Mirror: We look at stories like the dance of Shiva (Natarajasana) not just as poses, but as ways to embody strength, grace, and detachment.
- Practical Equanimity: Learning to apply samatvam—remaining balanced in both success and failure—in your office or home.
This is not about perfecting an asana to show off; it is about making your body a suitable vehicle for your soul. Whether you join me for a deep detox in Rishikesh or a regular Hatha session online, the goal remains the same: main vyakti nahi hoon, main shakti hoon (I am not the person, I am the power). If you are ready to move from simple movement to meaningful practice, let's talk about where you are in your journey.
