Navaratri Sadhana: A 9-Day Journey for Shakti
Experience a disciplined 9-day practice where we align asana, kriya, and pranayama with the energy of the Devi to awaken your inner strength.
Day 1 of Navaratri: We honor Maa Shailaputri by activating the Muladhara (Root) Chakra. This grounding flow of asanas like Vriksasana and Virabhadrasana builds a foundation of stability and strength.
Day 2 of Navaratri: A flow dedicated to Maa Brahmacharini to activate the Swadhisthana (Sacral) Chakra. This sequence enhances creativity, emotional balance, and inner discipline.
Day 3 of Navaratri: We invoke Devi Chandraghanta by practicing Nauli Kriya. This powerful technique ignites the Manipura Chakra, our center of willpower and transformation.
Day 4 of Navaratri: Awakening the Anahata (Heart) Chakra for Maa Kushmanda. This practice features deep backbends like Laghu Vajrasana and Eka Pada Kapotasana to release emotional blockages.
Day 6 of Navaratri: Honoring Maa Katyayani by activating the Ajna (Third Eye) Chakra. We use Sirsasana (Headstand) to increase mental clarity, focus, and connect to our inner intuition.
Days 7 & 8 of Navaratri: A pranayama practice for Kalratri and Maha Gauri. We balance the fierce and gentle aspects of Shakti, symbolizing the destruction of ignorance and the dawn of inner radiance.
About The Navaratri Sadhana: A 9-Day Journey
This isn't a random flow. Over these nine days, we methodically move from the Muladhara (root) chakra up to the Ajna (third eye), using specific asanas and kriyas to clear blockages. You need to be prepared for both the physical demand and the internal quiet. It is thoda mehnat—a little hard work—but the shift in your energy is real.
Navaratri is more than a festival; it is a powerful window for sadhana (spiritual practice). My 9-day journey is structured to mirror the awakening of the Goddess within you.
We begin by grounding our practice. The first few days focus on the lower chakras. We work on stability and strength, using poses like Vriksasana to build a foundation. As we move deeper, we introduce cleansing techniques like Nauli Kriya to ignite the Manipura chakra—our center of willpower.
This is not about perfect poses. It is about understanding the 'why' behind the movement. We integrate:
- Mythology and Asana: We study the stories of Shiva and Shakti to understand the intention behind every movement.
- Breath and Bandha: We use pranayama to manage prana, ensuring you leave the mat with a calm, focused mind.
- Deep Stillness: We incorporate periods of maun (silence) to process the energy shifts.
Whether you join us in Rishikesh or follow our digital guidance, the aim is to shift from 'main vyakti hoon' (I am a person) to realizing the infinite Shakti within. This is a path for those ready to move beyond the surface and commit to their own transformation. If you are struggling with a scattered mind or feeling stagnant, this structured approach offers a way to reset your system.
