Recognition and Awards for Our Architectural Work

We do not design for accolades, but recognition serves as an important measure of how our architectural interventions interact with their public context. When our restoration of the KLE Centenary Museum in Belagavi received the IIID National Winner award and the NDTV Jury Commendation, it confirmed that our strategy of weaving history with new programmatic needs creates a meaningful dialogue with the city.

Architecture is often a long game. The awards we have received are markers of specific moments in our practice where we successfully balanced historical preservation with contemporary utility.

Our work on the KLE Centenary Museum remains the most significant example of this. We approached the colonial structure not as a relic, but as a living part of the city. By introducing new pavilions and water courts, we expanded the museum's role into the surrounding public landscape. This approach won recognition because it proved that heritage sites can remain vital, accessible hubs rather than static monuments.

To us, awards are secondary to the 'Thinking Hand' process we maintain in the studio. Whether we are working on Art Deco restoration or modern urban extensions, we prioritize the same rigor: studying neighborhood patterns, understanding climatic response, and ensuring the new additions respect the soul of the existing structure. Recognition from platforms like the Institute of Indian Interior Designers reminds us that when we remain true to these values, the outcome resonates beyond our studio walls.
