About Urban Design & Master Planning
We see cities as living, breathing places, not just a bunch of buildings. Since 2002, we've been chasing that magic in the space between structures - the streets, parks, plazas, and how people actually use them. It's always about finding the right proportion, rhythm, and keeping things human-centered.
How We Work
- Before drawing anything, we walk the site, listen to its stories, and figure out what makes it tick. We dig into the climate, sunlight, airflow, and even how neighbours interact.
- We specialise in mixed-use development strategies, weaving homes, shops, and parks together so it's not just practical but feels like a community.
- When we see an old palace or a forgotten corner, we get excited. That's where adaptive reuse of heritage sites comes alive - turning what’s derelict into something people want to use.
- Sometimes, the challenge is combining old and new, like when we designed a landscape for a centuries-old temple using temporary materials so nothing permanent would clash with history.

My Story
We’re Thirdspace, Praveen and Namrata here. Since 2002, we’ve called Pune and Belagavi home, sketching out ideas in Koregaon Park, under the trees. There was this late-night email in 2019 – not a complaint, but a note from Christopher Benninger, praising the human scale in our hostel project. That message, honest and unexpected, still keeps us going. Our studio’s shaped by moments like that – small things, big meaning.
My Work
What we do - We design architecture, interiors, landscapes, master plans, and restore heritage buildings.
How we think - We look for organic neighbourhood growth patterns, weaving private spaces with gardens and community courtyards architecture.
The Thinking Hand process - Our design process is hands-on and messy – sketches, models, diagrams, whatever it takes to get real.
Types of projects - Private homes, weekend retreats, offices, university arenas, co-living, housing – we like variety.
Restoring old souls - Restoration of Art Deco buildings is our thing. We keep the old soul, just give it a new life.
