Yoga is not just about the poses. It's about showing up for yourself, finding calm in the chaos, and building a practice that fits your actual life. Here is a look at what keeps me grounded.

A day in my life. Every day is different, but it often includes morning cuddles with my dog, a quiet practice, work, and moments of rest.

A little glimpse into the things that ground me and reflect the season I'm in right now. It's a mix of yoga, self-acceptance, coffee, and quiet moments.

My "dopamine menu." It's filled with simple joys like teaching, spending time with my dog Kiwi, finding beautiful spaces, and connecting with nature.

A reflection on my 31-day practice challenge. The most important thing was showing up, even when it was hard.

The first lesson from my challenge: commitment gives you purpose. Even a short practice can set the tone for your entire day.

A key takeaway from practicing every day. It's not about perfection, it's about direction. Showing up is what matters.

A colorful reminder to be your authentic self. Stop editing yourself to be more digestible for others.

Finding bliss in ordinary moments, like doing an online class on the floor with my dog nearby. It's about tuning into the simple joys.

Letting go of the old to create space for the new. This applies to physical spaces and to life itself. It can be hard, but it's necessary for growth.

Lately, I've been enjoying slowing down, reading, and doing nothing. Mindful living is about creating that space for yourself, even when it's not easy.

About Yoga Beyond the Mat: Reflections & Lifestyle

Most people think yoga is about hitting perfect poses, but in my studio, we prioritize your nervous system. I teach Ashtanga as a tool for life—whether you are working through burnout or just trying to navigate a hectic week, my Mysore-style sessions provide a consistent, non-judgmental space to reset.

When I first started, I thought yoga was about being 'calm' all the time, but real life is messy. I teach Ashtanga because it is a moving meditation that builds a steady rhythm, giving you something to anchor to when the world feels loud. In my Greater Kailash studio, we move away from the 'gym culture' approach. We focus on what your body actually needs that day—sometimes that means a dynamic sequence, and sometimes it just means showing up for breathwork and alignment correction.

My classes, whether they are private one-on-one sessions or our group Mysore-style practice, focus on internal feeling rather than external shapes. We use props like bolsters and blocks to make the practice accessible, regardless of your current flexibility or experience level. If you are a beginner, we start with the fundamentals in a small group setting, giving you the time to learn the Ujjayi breath and postures until you have the confidence to practice on your own. It is about building a routine that stays with you off the mat, helping you manage stress and find a bit more space in your day.
