Finding your flow is easier when you are moving with a community. Whether you want the structure of a led session or the freedom of Mysore style, we build that rhythm together in our Delhi shala.

For me, practice is therapy. Here's a view from my perspective during a class, a moment of calm and presence amidst the flow of the group.

In my classes, I provide gentle, hands-on assists to help you understand the alignment of a pose. Here, I'm helping a student find more space in Supta Padangusthasana.

About The Energy of the Shala: Group Classes

Mysore style sessions here are unique because you work through your own sequence at your own pace while I move through the room offering hands-on adjustments. It means you get the support of a group environment without the pressure to keep up with anyone else.

How Group Classes Work

Whether you are a complete beginner or an experienced practitioner, our group sessions are designed to accommodate your rhythm. We focus on consistency rather than perfect shapes.

Mysore Style vs Led Primary

In our Mysore style batches, you practice the Ashtanga sequence at a pace that suits your body. I am present throughout to provide verbal cues and physical adjustments that help you deepen your postures safely. On Fridays, we hold a Led Primary class where we move in unison, following the traditional count. This helps build collective energy and focus.

What You Need to Know

We provide blocks and straps, and our studio is fully air-conditioned with wooden flooring. You do not need to bring anything other than yourself. If you are new to the practice, we suggest starting with our introductory course before dropping into these group sessions, but feel free to reach out if you have prior experience.

Location and Accessibility

Our main shala is located in Greater Kailash, and we serve the broader Delhi NCR area. We keep our batches small to ensure that everyone gets the individual attention they need to refine their practice.

I'm Sonakshi, and I'm the one guiding these sessions at The Shala. I built this space because I needed an anchor when burnout hit, and I wanted to create a place where you can show up exactly as you are. We're keeping it real with no perfection, just practice and community!
