Life Off the Mat: Mindful Living with Damini
People often ask how I stay grounded amidst the chaos. The truth? It is not just about the 60 minutes on the mat. These moments show how I find my own center, and how I bring that same energy into my virtual yoga sessions.
Just me, the sound of the waves, and a sandy foot. This was on my birthday trip, taking a moment to just lie on the beach and do absolutely nothing. This is what it means to hit pause.

Exploring a beautiful, lush path on day one of my birthday trip. I love how getting out in nature feels like a walking meditation. It helps me clear my head and feel connected to the world around me.

Walking down a hidden path to the sea with a new friend. Adventures like this remind me to stay open and curious. Life is all about the journey, not just the destination.

There is something so grounding about a bonfire at night with people you love. These are the moments I am so grateful for. It is all about connection and warmth.

About Life Off the Mat
You will notice in these photos that there is no yoga studio involved. That is the point. I believe that if you can find a moment of stillness while traveling or just hanging out, you can carry that peace into your daily routine. My Hatha yoga classes are built on that exact premise, focusing on breath and alignment so you can feel good without needing to be flexible right from day one.
My approach to yoga is less about the aesthetic of a perfect pose and more about how you feel in your own body. Whether I am exploring a path in Kerala or just hanging with my cat Benne, I am constantly practicing the same mindfulness I teach in my virtual Hatha batches.
Why Virtual Hatha Yoga?
If you have been looking for a space to move that feels more like soul food than a bootcamp, this is for you. We keep the groups small because I want to see you and provide real guidance, not just read off a script.
- Morning Hatha Batch: We meet three times a week at 8 AM. It is a dedicated time to breathe, move, and reset before the day gets busy.
- No Pressure: You do not need to be flexible or have a fancy setup. If you can move and breathe, you are already doing it right.
- Real Feedback: Since I guide you over a live video call, I can offer verbal adjustments to help you stay safe and comfortable, even if you are just in your pajamas at home.
Healing and fitness take time, and it is okay if you are not perfect. We are just here to show up for ourselves.
Damini Luthra
I am Damini. I do not believe in perfect poses, just in showing up for yourself, whether that is on your mat or while you are navigating a busy week. My virtual Hatha sessions are all about creating that same space for breath and connection, wherever you happen to be.
