Stop guessing your poses. We combine precise verbal cues with active manual adjustments to help you find your true stability.

Here, I am assisting a student in Dwi Pada Sirsasana (Two-Legs-Behind-Head Pose). My guidance helps her find the correct alignment to safely place her legs without straining her neck or back.

Assisting a student in the transition from Tittibhasana C to B. These hands-on adjustments help the student feel the correct muscle engagement and alignment needed to fly in Firefly Pose.

Guiding a student in Taraksvasana, a handstand backbend variation. My support helps her find the balance and confidence to explore this very advanced inversion.

A gentle adjustment for a student in a wide-legged forward fold (Prasarita Padottanasana). My role is to help students find their edge safely, encouraging the body to open up without force.

Assisting a young student in Gandabherundasana (Chin Stand). With careful guidance, even the most challenging poses become accessible, building strength and trust.

Providing an adjustment in Kapotasana. My hands guide the student to open her shoulders and lift her chest, protecting her lower back while deepening this intense backbend.

Helping a student with his forward bend in Kapotasana. This adjustment focuses on lengthening the spine and releasing the hips, ensuring the stretch is effective and safe.

A student practices Gandabherundasana (Formidable Face Pose) with my assistance. This support helps her build the necessary back strength and body awareness for this advanced inversion.

In this clip, I explain the importance of muscle engagement versus joint stress to prevent injury. I'm showing a student how to correctly stretch and activate her leg muscles for a standing split.

Assisting a student with the deep backbend in Kapotasana. My guidance helps her to distribute the bend evenly along the spine, preventing compression in the lower back.

About Hands-On Guidance & Alignment

You might think a deep backbend is about how far you can push, but without the right alignment, it is often just a recipe for strain. In our Ghatkopar and Powai studios, I personally step in to manually adjust your posture—not to push you further, but to guide your muscles to engage correctly. This is not about getting into a pose; it is about building the stability to hold it safely.

Precision Over Intensity

Most students land in our studio having learned their practice from videos or large, impersonal classes where form is ignored. The result is usually stiffness, discomfort, or worse, an injury that keeps you off the mat. We teach differently. Whether you are a beginner struggling with a forward fold or an advanced practitioner working on inversions, our hands-on guidance ensures you are using your muscles, not your joints.

The 3-Step Method

  1. Demonstration: I break down every asana into mechanical steps, focusing on anatomy.
  2. Verbal Cues: You get specific instructions, not vague motivation. We talk about where to lift, where to ground, and how to breathe.
  3. Manual Adjustments: We provide the physical touch needed to correct your alignment in real-time. This tactile feedback helps your body 'feel' what correct form is, making it easier to replicate on your own later.

Using Props Safely

We draw inspiration from the Iyengar tradition, using ropes, blocks, and belts. These are not shortcuts; they are intelligent tools to help you access postures that are currently out of reach. By using these aids, we can safely traction the spine and open the hips without force. This is essential for students recovering from pain or working with physical limitations.

Join Our Community

Our classes in Ghatkopar East and Powai are kept to small group sizes of 10-15 students. This ensures that when I move around the room, everyone gets the attention they need. If you are tired of practicing in the dark, come by. We will show you how to align, breathe, and finally make progress.
