Master Yoga Alignment With Hands-On Support
My teaching centers on anatomy and safe movement, helping you build a strong, intelligent foundation for your practice right here in our Mulund studio.
From balancing in Tree Pose to inverting in a headstand, my focus is always on you. I am here to guide, adjust, and support you in every posture.
Here I am explaining the fundamentals of Adho Mukha Svanasana (Downward-Facing Dog). Correct alignment in foundation poses is crucial for a safe and effective practice.
In this clip, I am teaching the proper foundation for Prasarita Padottanasana (Wide-Legged Forward Bend), focusing on foot placement and engaging the leg muscles to protect the joints.
A little progress each day adds up to big results. Here, I'm helping a student find more length and correct alignment in Virabhadrasana II (Warrior II).
I guide the class through a vinyasa flow, moving from Cat-Cow to Utkatasana (Chair Pose), always with an eye on form and synchronized breath.
Using props like wall ropes requires proper guidance. I'm here to assist students in safely getting into and out of inversions and other supported poses.
I provide gentle assistance to help students relax into supported inversions. This technique helps decompress the spine and improve circulation with minimal effort.
"Trini, exhaling, fold forward." My instruction is precise, guiding students through the Ashtanga sequence with a focus on breath count and muscular engagement.
Whether it's a deep backbend, an inversion, or a breathing exercise, I am actively involved in your practice, offering adjustments and encouragement.
Even simple movements matter. I guide students through shoulder rotations to improve mobility and prepare the body for deeper postures.
About My Teaching: Alignment & Hands-On Support
In my studio classes, I focus on tactile adjustments and clear verbal cues to ensure your alignment is correct from the start. It is not about forcing a posture; it is about building a foundation that prevents injury, especially if you are working with physical sensitivities like a slip disk or sciatica.
Anatomy Over Aesthetics
For me, yoga is not about how deep you can bend or how perfect a pose looks. It is about understanding your own body. In my classes, we prioritize alignment above everything else. Whether you are a beginner or have been practicing for years, my role is to guide you into postures that respect your anatomy. We focus on the basics of breath and stability, which creates a safer practice and allows you to gain the actual benefits of the asanas.
Hands-On Adjustments and Props
Because I teach in a dedicated shala in Mulund West, I am able to provide real-time, hands-on adjustments. I am right there with you to ensure your shoulders are engaged, your feet are placed correctly, and your spine is supported. We also utilize props like wall ropes, blocks, and bolsters. These are not just add-ons; they are essential tools for spinal traction and deep release, helping you access poses that might otherwise feel impossible.
A Support System for Your Practice
My approach is to treat every session as a journey we take together. If you are struggling with a posture, we break it down. We look at the breath, the base, and the alignment. It is about progress, not perfection. Whether you are looking for Hatha flows or Ashtanga-inspired sequences, my goal is to guide you so you leave the mat feeling aligned and cared for, not strained.
