I do not just demonstrate at the front of the room; I work with you on the mat. My approach focuses on physical adjustments that help you understand the anatomy of your practice, ensuring you stay safe while you deepen your asanas.

A supported headstand, or Salamba Sirsasana, requires precise alignment and strength. Here, I provide support to a student, helping him build the stability and confidence to balance in this foundational inversion.

In this video, I am assisting a student with Vasistasana, or side plank pose. This hands-on adjustment helps her lift higher, engage her core more effectively, and find the full expression of this strengthening arm balance.

This video shows the progression of Natarajasana, from online guidance to in-person, hands-on assistance. My support helps the student achieve a deeper backbend and a more stable balance in this graceful posture.

Even in a virtual setting, my focus is on precise, detailed instruction. In this online advanced asana session, I am verbally guiding students through the intricate alignment of a forward fold, ensuring they practice safely from home.

This video shows me assisting a student working on a handstand to backbend transition. This kind of hands-on support is crucial for safely exploring advanced dynamic movements and building trust in your own capabilities.

Guiding a student into a handstand requires careful spotting and instruction. My assistance here helps her find her balance point and engage the correct muscles, making the inversion feel more stable and accessible.

Backbending workshops involve a high degree of trust and careful instruction. Here, I am assisting a student in a deep backbend and guiding another in a wall-assisted forearm wheel, ensuring each practitioner works safely at their own level.

About this collection

You will not find me standing at the front counting breaths while looking at my watch. In these sessions, if your shoulder is collapsing in a side plank or your spine needs support in a backbend, I will be there to adjust it. We use props like wall ropes and bolsters not as crutches, but as tools to help you find the correct engagement, ensuring your practice is about structural integrity rather than just forcing your body into a shape.

Understanding Your Practice Through Touch

True progress in yoga requires more than observation. It demands an understanding of your own body mechanics. When I work with a student on a headstand (Sirsasana) or a complex backbend like Kapotasana, my goal is to provide the feedback you cannot give yourself. By adjusting your alignment, I help you release tension in the right places and engage the muscles that are often neglected.

The Role of Props in Alignment

Many practitioners fear props, viewing them as signs of weakness. At Nirakula, we see them differently. Whether you are a beginner or a long-time practitioner, chairs, ropes, and blocks are essential for accessing deeper ranges of motion safely. If you are struggling with a posture, it is often a lack of specific support rather than a lack of effort. We use these tools to build the foundational strength necessary for advanced postures.

Small Batches for Focused Attention

We limit our batch sizes in our Koramangala studio purposefully. This ensures that every student gets individual attention. When you are in our class, you are not just a face in the crowd; you are a student receiving instruction tailored to your current capabilities and your specific physical goals. Whether we are working on the fine points of a forward fold or the mechanics of a handstand, you will know exactly how to adjust your form to make the movement sustainable and effective.

I am Vishwanath, and I believe yoga is a science of life that requires more than just following a video. My team and I are here on the floor with you, moving your limbs, correcting your angles, and ensuring you understand the mechanics behind every movement.
