Beyond the studio walls, I lead guided sessions in nature. Whether by the banks of the Ganges or in peaceful local parks, these sessions connect our practice to the elements.

A foggy morning yoga session on the ghats of Haridwar. Practicing by the holy Ganges river adds a powerful spiritual dimension to our movements.

About Yoga in Nature: Retreats & Outdoor Sessions

Practicing outdoors changes the rhythm of your yoga. In these sessions, we focus on grounding ourselves by the river or in open fields, which helps in connecting deeper with the breath. Whether at the Haridwar ghats or local Delhi parks, these environments remove the physical distractions of a studio and allow us to find true stillness.

When we take our practice out of the studio, we are not just changing the location. We are returning to the roots of yoga, where 'Sthirasukham asanam'—the idea that a pose should be steady and comfortable—becomes easier to understand. The wind, the sound of the water, and the open sky act as natural teachers, helping us detach from the stress of our daily routines.

Why Practice in Nature?

In our outdoor sessions and retreats, particularly those by the Ganges in Haridwar, we focus heavily on pranayama and meditation. The air quality and the spiritual energy of the location provide an environment that is hard to replicate in a gym or studio. This is where we move beyond the physical workout and into 'Samata' (equanimity).

What to Expect

  • Small Groups: I keep these sessions intimate so I can provide personal adjustments, just as I do in my studio classes.
  • Elements-Focused: We sequence our flows to match the energy of the environment, whether it is a sunrise session on the ghats or a quiet park gathering.
  • For All Levels: You do not need to be an expert yogi to join. My outdoor sessions are designed to be inclusive, allowing beginners to learn comfortably and experienced students to deepen their concentration.

We practice not just for physical fitness, but for mental clarity. If you are looking to step out of your regular schedule and spend time connecting with your breath in a serene setting, reach out to discuss my upcoming retreat dates or local outdoor meetups.
