My Practice: Yoga, Nature, and Life in Flow
Yoga isn't just about the mat. It’s about how we eat, move, and show up every day. Here is a glimpse into the rhythm of my practice.
Stillness is not the absence of movement, it is the presence of awareness. This seated twist from the Ashtanga Yoga primary series, practiced here in nature, reminds me that strength does not always roar. Sometimes it roots down quietly into the earth, guiding us back to a simple, more profound way of living.
I believe in finding balance both on the yoga mat and on two wheels. Riding through life’s twists and turns with the grace of a yogi and the thrill of a biker is my way of embracing the journey. This is my zen on wheels, a reminder that the path to wellness is an adventure.
Who says healthy can't be delicious? Here is my gluten free and vegan "Hakka noodles" recipe, made with just half a teaspoon of oil. It is a perfect example of how I approach food: light, packed with flavor, and full of clean, plant based goodness.
The practice truly begins after you roll up your mat and walk back into your life. For me, that often means a quiet walk in the woods, accompanied by my furry friends. This is where the principles of yoga, patience and awareness, come to life.
Imagine escaping the city to breathe in fresh mountain air and reconnect with your calm. This is a snapshot from one of my "Yoga Escapes", an overnight retreat where we practice together, share meals, and find peace in nature. It is a beautiful way to deepen your practice in a supportive community.
Natural remedies can be a powerful way to support your body. This simple healing shot with lemon, soaked sabja seeds, and turmeric is my go to for supporting digestion and feeling better when I am under the weather. It is a quick, natural pick me up.
As an Authorised Ashtanga Yoga Teacher, I have learned that postures are tools, not trophies. This L-shaped headstand is a reminder to look at life from different angles. The real goal is not the pose itself, but the conscious growth and perspective we gain along the way.
About Featured
Whether I’m guiding a traditional Mysore-style Ashtanga session or sharing a simple plant-based recipe, my focus is the same: sustainability. I don't believe in rigid rules that break your spirit. My classes and retreats are designed to help you find your antaratma (inner voice) so you can build a practice that actually fits your life, not the other way around.
My journey as an Authorised Ashtanga Yoga Teacher is rooted in the parampara of my guru, Sharath Jois. When you practice with me, we aren't chasing the perfect pose for a photo. We are using the Primary Series as a tool to cultivate discipline and shraddha (faith) in your own movement.
Why Mysore Style?
I teach online classes in the traditional Mysore style. This means you practice at your own pace, and I provide live, real-time corrections to your alignment, Drishti (gaze), and Ujjayi breath. It is a structured, intimate way to learn, whether you are a beginner or returning to the mat after a long break.
Living Your Practice
Yoga doesn't end when you roll up your mat. The real practice is in the food we eat and how we handle stress. I am deeply passionate about plant-based nutrition—sharing recipes like oil-free millet pulao or simple lemon-turmeric shots that actually nourish your body. You will often find me talking about nature as medicine; whether it is a silent walk in the woods or a digital detox to reset your focus, I help you integrate these habits into your daily life.
Finding Your Rhythm
If you want to go deeper, my retreats in the Sahyadris offer a chance to disconnect from the noise and reconnect with yourself. We combine yoga, vegan farm-to-table meals, and nature hikes. Everything I offer, from the 1-on-1 lifestyle audits to the group classes, is built on the belief that life isn't a race. Some days are slow, some are fast, and that is completely theek hai (totally okay). My role is simply to walk beside you as you find your own path.
