Core Strength and Mobility Yoga Classes
Building strength isn't just for the gym. Join me to explore poses that ground you, improve your mobility, and bring balance back to your daily life. 🙏
My Yoga for Strength & Stamina class is a dynamic flow designed to challenge you. Poses like Navasana (boat pose) are excellent for building a strong core.
Slow down life and find your center. This video shows the progression into Navasana (boat pose), a powerful asana for building core strength.
Practicing mobility is key to a healthy body. This simple sequence helps to improve the range of motion in the hips and legs.
A simple wall sit, progressing to a figure-four stretch. This is a great way to build leg strength and open the hips.
Words cannot express the feeling of strength and balance in this one-legged dolphin pose. It's a challenging and rewarding practice.
Repetition is the key to the practice. Building up to a forearm stand against the wall requires patience, strength, and dedication.
A simple wall yoga practice. Legs-up-the-wall is a wonderful restorative pose, while other movements can help build core awareness.
A student holding a steady Sirsasana (headstand) in the studio. Inversions are fantastic for building upper body strength and focus.
From a playful headstand kick-up to a relaxing wall-supported pose. This shows the dynamic and restorative aspects of an inversion practice.
My take on Surya Namaskar (Sun Salutation). This sequence focuses on breathwork and mindful movement to energize the entire body.
About Core Strength, Mobility & Balance
We use props like wall ropes and blocks in these sessions, not just to look fancy, but to make sure you're properly supported while you build strength. It’s about feeling stable in your foundation so you can move safely, whether you're working on your core or just trying to reach your toes.
Many students come to me thinking yoga is only about flexibility. But true freedom in the body starts with stability. In our sessions, we focus on the core and glutes, often using the Kurunta rope wall for traction and support. This isn't about pushing your limits until you hurt. It is about intelligent movement that respects where you are today.
We practice flows that help you understand your body’s potential, warming up joints and lengthening tight muscles. Whether you're in my Hauz Khas studio or joining live online, the sequence remains the same: breath, movement, and mindful effort. Beginners are always welcome—your mat is a safe space to grow, fall, and get back up. If you're dealing with back stiffness or just want to feel more capable in your daily life, these core and mobility classes are for you. Let's practice with kindness and find that balance together.
