About The Tree House: Architecture as Nature

The perforated metal canopy functions as more than a sculptural element. It acts as a thermal buffer, casting dappled, forest-like shadows that dance across the teakstone walls throughout the day. This design choice actively regulates indoor temperatures while minimizing the need for artificial lighting, allowing the home to breathe in rhythm with the seasonal shift of the Delhi sun.

The Green Axis is a commercial workspace I designed to feel contemplative and calm. The core of the project is this linear corridor, which runs alongside a verdant courtyard, using natural light and framed views to connect the employees to nature throughout the day.

This is the main view of the Pool House, an extension I designed for a multi-generational family in Chhatarpur. The goal was to forge a connection between the main house, the landscape, and the family's daily life.8

The covered deck is an essential part of the design, creating a seamless transition from the lounge to the outdoors. I incorporated large, circular skylights into the timber ceiling to draw in natural light and create playful shadows throughout the day.
