Recognition for us is not about the trophy. It is a validation of our belief that architecture should respond to the land, the light, and the people who inhabit it.

About Awards & Recognition

When our Tree House project in Delhi received the World Architecture Community Award, it was not merely for its sculptural canopy. The recognition came because the design effectively solves a core problem. By using branching columns and local teakstone walls to facilitate cross-ventilation, we created a microclimate that keeps the interior cool without relying solely on air conditioning. That efficiency is the real win for us.

Every project we undertake carries a narrative, and these awards serve as milestones in our ongoing dialogue with the landscape. Take the Varadarajan House in Coorg, which won a 2024 GoodHomes Award. The challenge there was not to impose a structure upon the rainforest, but to allow the home to emerge from it. We focused on creating a series of interconnected volumes that frame the valley views, using laterite and terracotta tiles to ensure the house feels like an extension of the earth itself.

Our approach to residential design in India relies on three pillars: contextual sensitivity, material honesty, and climatic response. Whether we are restoring a heritage haveli or constructing a new farm retreat, the goal remains the same. We want to build homes that age gracefully, developing character as the materials weather and the surrounding landscape matures.

We do not chase awards for their own sake. We pursue excellence because the process of 'listening architecture' requires it. It demands a rigorous commitment to working with local masons, sourcing authentic materials, and constantly refining our details—from the magnetic tracks in our lighting design to the shadow grooves in our plasterwork. When a jury recognizes these efforts, it confirms that our method of blending traditional motifs with modern functionality resonates beyond our own studio walls. If you are looking for an architect who values the integrity of your home as much as its aesthetic, we should talk.

I am not just designing a structure; I am setting the stage for your life to unfold. We are a team of architects and thinkers who believe a home should feel alive. My process is simple: I listen to the land and I listen to you, then I build the space in between.
