We believe public spaces should be extensions of the earth itself, designed to serve the community while leaving a light footprint on the land.

An overview of the Samadhaan Hub in Gurgaon, a waste solutions space designed with our NGO partner 'iamgurgaon'. The project uses upcycled and biodegradable materials to create an open-air interpretation center that promotes a zero-waste lifestyle.

The Aravali Biodiversity Park Amphitheatre in Gurgaon, carved into the natural terrain. The entire structure was built using sustainable materials sourced from the surrounding area, making it a true example of landscape architecture.

A video showing the grand scale of the amphitheater's stone-clad tiers. The design uses gabion walls filled with local rock, a sustainable technique that integrates the structure beautifully into the rugged Aravali landscape.

A side view of the amphitheater steps, showing their clean, geometric lines against the arid landscape. The design is both monumental and respectful of its natural setting.

The tiered seating of the amphitheater, constructed with local stone and gravel. This public space is designed for community gatherings, performances, and environmental education, fully embracing its role within the biodiversity park.

About Sustainable & Community-Centric Projects

For our public projects, we do not simply build; we interpret the site. In the Aravali Biodiversity Park project, for example, we relied on local rock gabion walls to terrace the amphitheater, ensuring the structure integrates seamlessly with the rugged terrain rather than imposing itself upon it.

When designing for the public, our primary obligation is to the landscape and the collective experience. This means rejecting standard, high-carbon materials in favor of what the site already offers. At the Samadhaan Hub, this meant treating waste as a primary building block. We collaborated with local NGOs to create an interpretation center where the walls themselves are built from recycled steel mesh, construction debris, and discarded bottles. By reimagining these materials, the space becomes an educational tool for zero-waste living. The architectural form follows the function of the site. The Aravali amphitheater is not merely a seating arrangement. It is a calculated response to the natural slope, carved into the earth using techniques that prevent soil erosion and promote biodiversity. We aim to prove that institutional spaces in NCR can function as quiet sanctuaries, fostering community gatherings while remaining firmly rooted in the local ecology. Whether it is an open-air workshop space or a tiered performance venue, our goal remains constant: to craft environments that grow from the ground up.

We have been chasing the idea that architecture can be poetry since 1999. Whether we are transforming a waste site into a hub for community learning or carving an amphitheater into the Aravali hills, our focus stays the same: listening to the land and the people who will inhabit it.
