About Yoga Strong: Build Strength & Mobility
While our main practice is traditional Sivananda, our Tuesday Yoga Strong sessions are different. We strip away the long meditation flows to focus specifically on mobility drills, hip openers, and foundational work for inversions like headstands. If you have been struggling to get your legs straight in a downward dog or find your wrists hurting during planks, this is the session where we break down exactly how to fix your form and build the required stamina.
Yoga is often misunderstood as purely static stretching, but building a functional body requires grit and consistency. In our Yoga Strong sessions, we shift the focus to controlled, dynamic movement. We guide you through sequences designed to open tight hips, strengthen the core for arm balances, and stabilize the joints for deeper backbends.
Why focus on mobility and strength?
Many students come to us feeling stuck in their practice, unable to move past basic poses because they lack the necessary shoulder stability or hamstring length. We bridge that gap by using specific drills—not just holding poses, but actively moving through ranges of motion that prepare your body for advanced asanas like Sirsasana (headstand) or Pincha Mayurasana (forearm stand).

- Studio Classes at Siri Fort: Our studio provides the space to learn alignment with hands-on adjustments. We work on the floor, using the wall, and props to ensure you understand the mechanics of each movement safely.
- Online Live Interactive Sessions: If you cannot make it to our Delhi studio, our Zoom sessions are not just watch-along videos. We keep them live and interactive so we can provide real-time cues, helping you adjust your posture just as we would in person.
- Personalized Training: For those with specific goals—like rehabbing an injury, mastering a particular arm balance, or simply building foundational strength at your own pace—we offer one-on-one sessions.

We are Preeti and Anushka, a mother-daughter duo teaching yoga in Delhi. We believe that if you can breathe, you can do yoga. We keep our sessions small so we can actually see you and help you move safely, whether that is finding your first headstand or just getting stronger in your daily life.
