About Art & Craft Workshops
Why We Do What We Do
At The Pottery Lab, art isn’t just about clay for us. We believe making things with your hands can slow you down, help you tune in, and maybe even surprise you with what you’re capable of. Our art and craft workshops are for anyone who’s curious, even if you think you can’t draw a straight line.
What You’ll Find Here
- We team up with artists who really know their stuff and love sharing it. You might find yourself in a handmade bookbinding workshop, learning Coptic or Long-Stitch techniques, or making your own journals with Nitika.
- If you’re into detail and tradition, our Indian miniature painting class with Divya lets you try your hand at painting on vasli, using stone pigments and kalams. It’s slow, meditative, and honestly, a bit addictive.
- For something different, there’s the cyanotype printing session with Andrea. You’ll use sunlight to make blue and white prints, starting from scratch with the chemicals and ending with your own series.
- We keep things fresh with other sessions too, like zinc plate etching and miniature watercolors.
Who Shows Up
- People who think they aren’t creative (you’ll be surprised)
- Artists wanting to try something new
- Anyone needing a break from screens and routine
What to Expect
Everything you need is here - just bring yourself and maybe a friend. We’re not chasing perfection, just that feeling when you make something that’s all yours.

My Story
Hi, I’m Rekha Goyal. Been playing with clay for 26 years now, and The Pottery Lab in Bandra is my little green escape from Mumbai’s chaos. Pottery for me is therapy - hands in mud, mind goes blank, just the wheel and you. People walk in nervous, but leave grinning with their own creation. We’ve built a community here - lots of laughs, some quiet afternoons, and over 8,000 stories spun on the wheel.
My Work

Team Building with Clay - Pottery team building activities that are actually fun. Colleagues get messy, laugh, and connect.
Our Studio Vibe - Calm oasis in Pali Hill. Mondays are slow, and you can just breathe here.
