About Pottery Workshops & Courses
Pottery is messy, calming, and sometimes a bit unpredictable - that's what I love about it. At The Pottery Lab, I see clay as a way to slow down and just be present, whether you’re a total newbie or you’ve tried your hand at it before.
Who Can Join?
Honestly, you don’t need to be an artist. Most people who walk in say, “I can’t even draw a straight line!” and that’s totally fine. My studio is about the process, not perfection. If you want to try hands-on pottery classes or just want to hang out and make something with your hands, you’ll fit right in.
What You Can Try
- Quick, single-day workshops if you want a taste of the pottery wheel experience or want to try clay hand-building techniques like pinch, coil, or even Japanese nerikomi.
- Multi-week beginner pottery course for those who want to dig deeper and learn everything from basics to glazing.
- Advanced sessions for folks who want to experiment and develop their own style.
What’s Included
You don’t need to bring anything. I provide all the clay, tools, glazes, and handle the kiln firing. Your piece will be food-safe and microwave-safe when you get it back. The only catch? You’ll need to wait a few days for the firing process, but trust me, holding your finished piece is worth it.
