Moments of Mindful Movement
These snapshots from my personal practice are a reminder that yoga is not about being perfect. It is about showing up for yourself, finding your breath, and moving with intention.
A simple mantra for every day: Stretch. Breathe. Repeat. This gentle animation captures the essence of our practice.
A quiet reminder to find moments in your day to connect with your body and breath. Just stretch, breathe, and repeat.
About Additional Moments
My personal practice is not about hitting the perfect pose or looking graceful on the mat. It is often about messy transitions, wobbly balance, and simply giving my body the space it needs to unwind after a long day. If you are worried about not being flexible enough or yoga-ready, know that your current state is exactly where your practice begins.
I started Nikaya Yoga in 2015 to create a space where the noise of daily life fades away. Whether you are joining me online from across the globe or stepping into one of my Bangalore studios, my approach remains the same. We focus on alignment, breath awareness, and functional movement that serves your body, not an idealized version of it.
My classes range from gentle Begin Yoga sessions to intense flows for regulars, and even adaptive chair yoga for those with limited mobility. I believe that yoga is for every body. That means we use props, offer modifications, and encourage you to listen to your edge rather than pushing past it. You do not need a fancy setup. A mat, some floor space, and an open mind are all you really need to get started.
If you prefer the community energy of a real studio, my small group batches at premium locations in Bangalore, like St. Marks Road, offer tactile adjustments and personal guidance. If you are looking for flexibility, my live online batches allow you to practice from home with real-time feedback on your posture. Regardless of the format, my goal is to help you build a consistent habit—stretch, breathe, and repeat—until that connection between your body, breath, and mind becomes second nature.
Nikaya Yoga
I am Namrata, and for me, yoga is a sacred space to find balance when life gets noisy. I do not care about being perfect on the mat, and I do not expect you to be either. My classes are all about finding what works for your unique body, one breath at a time.
