Create Memories in Clay
Pottery isn't just about the bowl you make; it’s about the time you spend slowing down with someone special. Come to Mitti, get your hands dirty, and take home something you built yourself.
I love it when friends treat each other to a pottery date. This is your sign to take an evening out with your girlfriends for a session full of laughter, creativity, and connection.
Here's another sign to take your friend out on a pottery date. It's an evening full of laughter and creativity, and you get to take home a piece of that magic.
You don't need an excuse to spend time with friends, but learning a fun new skill together is a great one. Come share some smiles and create some magic at Mitti.
A busy Saturday at Mitti is full of life. We have beginner and advanced students, members honing their skills, and one-time workshops where people come to just have fun and try something new.
About Create Memories in Clay
In these hand-building sessions, you won't be using a pottery wheel. Instead, we focus on tactile techniques like pinching, coiling, and slab work. It is surprisingly relaxing and perfect for beginners to pick up in just two hours, with absolutely no pressure to make your creation look Pinterest-perfect.
Whether you are planning a unique date night or just need a screen-free afternoon with friends, our hand-building workshops are designed to help you reconnect with your creative side. We believe that clay has its own voice, and my job is simply to help you listen to it.
The Experience
When you walk into Mitti Space in Khar West, don't worry about being 'creative' or having any prior skills. Bas, try karna hai (just give it a shot). You will be using stoneware clay to create one ceramic object per person—think mugs, small bowls, or trinket dishes. Since we focus on hand-building, you have total freedom to shape your piece exactly how you want it, rather than struggling with the mechanics of a wheel.
Practical Details
- Duration: Each workshop runs for 90 to 120 minutes.
- Process: After the workshop, your pieces need to go through the drying, bisque firing, and glaze firing process. This is the 'science' part of the magic, and it takes about 30 days for your pottery to be ready for pickup.
- Environment: You will be sharing the studio with our resident cats, Silky and Laila, who are always happy to have visitors. We provide all the tools, aprons, and clay you need.
We keep the atmosphere intimate and quiet, allowing you to really focus on the 'slow' in slow-living. By the time you leave, you won't just have a new object—you'll have a memory of a time you stepped away from the rush to make something real with your hands.
Mitti Space
Hi, I’m Kosha. Mitti started as a tiny corner for my own experiments, but it’s grown into a home where I love helping people switch off from the noise. I’m just here to guide your hands—the clay and your own creativity will do the rest.
