About Custom Ceramic Art & Commissions
Why My Ceramics Feel Different
I make ceramics that carry their own kahani (story). Every piece starts as a lump of mitti (clay) and ends up with its own personality. I don’t aim for ‘Pinterest perfect’ - my work is about slow, thoughtful making, and letting the clay guide me. If you want something with a bit of whimsy and soul, you’ll probably vibe with my style.
Two Ways to Get My Art
- Custom commissions: We dream up something new together. I don’t copy designs, so if you want a bilkul (completely) original piece, this is for you.
- Ready-to-buy pieces: Sometimes I make things just for the joy of it. These are one-of-a-kind and pop up at my studio in Khar or at art festivals in Mumbai and Ahmedabad.
What Inspires Me
- Nature-inspired ceramic art: Think octopus vases, snail mugs, mushrooms, flowers.
- Whimsical pottery commissions: Ghibli vibes, playful details, Totoro bowls.
- Quiet, delicate patterns: Japanese ink art, sgraffito, nerikomi, sculptural touches.
The Handmade Imperfection
You’ll see the mark of my hands - maybe a thoda sa (a little bit) uneven edge or a glaze drip. These aren’t flaws, they’re what make each piece unique. If you want something truly personal for your home, my ceramics might be just what you’re looking for.

My Story
Hey, I’m Kosha. Clay wasn’t my plan, but somehow it found me. Used to be all about jewelry, then moved to Florence chasing art and photography dreams. COVID flipped everything. Mitti Space kind of happened by accident – started as a co-working spot, tiny pottery corner just for me. But clay took over, and now it’s a whole community. I love the wheel for quick spins, but hand-building is where I feel most alive. Silky, our studio cat, keeps us all grounded. Mitti’s home, not just a studio.
