About Pottery Classes & Workshops

Why Mitti Space?

Pottery here isn’t about chasing perfection. I want you to feel the mitti (clay), slow down, and just enjoy the process. Sometimes, the clay is bahut kacchi (too raw) and you can’t force it - you have to listen and learn with it. I’m Kosha, and I’ll guide you, but your hands tell their own story.

Who Should Join?

You don’t need to be “creative” - bas, try karna hai (just give it a shot). If you’re curious, want a break from screens, or just want to make something with your hands, you’ll fit right in. The vibe is relaxed, friendly, and yes, our cats Silky and Laila are always around.

What’s On Offer?

  • One-time hand-building pottery workshop for anyone wanting a fun intro or a memory with friends.
  • Beginner pottery course (10 sessions) covers coiling, slab building, Nerikomi, and pottery wheel classes.
  • Intermediate & advanced courses for those ready to develop apna style (your own style) and tackle bigger projects.
  • Deep dives: Glazing techniques for ceramics (3-day workshop) and occasional pit firing sessions for those who want to experiment.

Studio Details

  • All tools and clay provided. Just bring your own apron.
  • Missed sessions? Up to 3 are fine, after that there’s a small fee.
  • Memberships available for continuing your clay art community journey.

What You’ll Learn

From kneading and hand-building to wheel throwing and glazing, you’ll get hands-on with every step. Firing is handled by us, so you can focus on creating.

My Story

Hey, I’m Kosha. Clay wasn’t my plan, but somehow it found me. Used to be all about jewelry, then moved to Florence chasing art and photography dreams. COVID flipped everything. Mitti Space kind of happened by accident – started as a co-working spot, tiny pottery corner just for me. But clay took over, and now it’s a whole community. I love the wheel for quick spins, but hand-building is where I feel most alive. Silky, our studio cat, keeps us all grounded. Mitti’s home, not just a studio.
