About Our Studio, Our Community
Walking into our Khar West studio, you won't find a sterile classroom or strict industrial vibe. You'll likely be greeted by Silky or Laila, our resident cats who consider themselves the real owners of the place. It is a space where we value the slow, messy, and real process of creating over any 'Pinterest-perfect' finish, making it a sanctuary for anyone looking to just breathe and play with clay.
What started as a tiny corner for my own experiments during the pandemic has grown into something I never quite imagined—a community. At Mitti Space, we believe pottery is expression, and my role is simply to provide the safe space for that to happen. Whether you are a complete beginner holding clay for the first time or someone looking for a dedicated spot to practice, the studio is designed to be a relief from the rush of city life.
Our teaching philosophy is built on freedom rather than rigid formulas. You will find teachers like Hithika, who bring warmth and energy to our weekend workshops, ensuring that even your first, wobbly attempts at a bowl or vase feel like a success. We focus on the basics of hand-building and wheel throwing, but we also create room for you to experiment with glazing techniques or simply sit quietly at the wheel.
We are located in Khar West, and while the equipment is professional—our kiln firing processes ensure your pieces get the care they need—the environment is intentionally relaxed. We host everything from one-time date nights to intensive long-term pottery courses for those ready to develop their own style.
