About The Pottery Date Experience
Heads up: pottery is messy, but that is the fun part. You get 90 to 120 minutes of active time at the wheel, and since your clay pieces need to be fired in our kiln to harden, they will be ready for pickup about 2 to 3 weeks after your session.
If you are tired of the same old movie and dinner routine, our Malad studio offers a chance to actually slow down and create something together. We believe everyone has a creative spark, and you do not need to be an artist to enjoy a pottery date. Most guests walking through our doors are total beginners.
What to Expect
When you book a wheel throwing session, we guide you through the basics of centering and pulling clay. It is a shared activity, so you and your partner will be helping each other out. If the wheel feels like a bit too much for the day, or you just want a cleaner experience, our ceramic painting dates are a great alternative. You pick a pre-made mug or plate and let your imagination take over with colors and stencils.
The Vibe
We set up on a cozy rooftop in Malad West. It is open-air, usually filled with fairy lights and a playlist that keeps things chill. Evening slots are particularly popular because you get to catch the sunset while you work. We view this as 'clay therapy'—a way to disconnect from the city chaos and just focus on the tactile, grounding feeling of the clay.
Practical Details
- Studio Location: Malad West, Mumbai.
- Pricing: Our wheel sessions are ₹2300 to ₹2900 per couple, while painting dates range from ₹1400 to ₹1900 per couple.
- What you get: All materials, tools, and aprons are provided. You just bring yourselves and a willingness to try something new.
- Takeaway: For painted items using acrylics, you can take them home same-day. If you use our kiln-fired glazes or shape your own pots on the wheel, those pieces need to be fired and will be ready for pickup in 2 to 3 weeks.
