About Residential Architecture & Interior Design
What Drives Us
I started Design Matters with one goal - every home should feel alive and have its own story. Since 2011, I've poured my energy into places that feel both meaningful and comfortable, where design isn’t just for show.
How I See Home Design
Architecture and interiors, for me, go hand in hand. The outside and inside should talk to each other, so your house feels like one thought, not a patchwork. This is why I handle both together from day one, blending the look and function all the way through.
Style & Materials You’ll Notice
- My designs usually mix Indian modern home design with a dash of the earthy home material palette. Think exposed brick, lots of stone, traditional motifs, but always with a clean, uncluttered vibe.
- I’m big on using natural stuff - Kota or Jaisalmer flooring, Athangudi tiles, wood, and cane. Not just for looks, but for the warmth and feeling they bring.
- Spaces need to breathe, so I play with natural light optimization in homes using big windows, central courtyards, and sometimes, double-height rooms.
Small Plots, Big Ideas
Bangalore plots can be tight, but I don’t see it as a problem. I carve out open-feeling layouts, let the sunlight in, and connect inside to outside wherever I can. Split levels, skylights, and creative corners are my thing.
What Makes it Special
I like adding touches that make a house truly yours - a swing in the living room, a mural on a tall wall, or turning a dead corner into a tiny green retreat. Every detail is about making memories.
How We Work
From first chat to moving-in day, I keep things clear and open. You’ll see sketches, 3D views, and be part of every step. Your home, your vibe, my job to bring it to life.

My Story
Hey, we’re Design Matters Architects. Started out in 2011, just wanting to make spaces that mean something. We’re all about mixing those classic Indian vibes—Athangudi tiles, exposed brick, Kota stone—with clean, modern lines. Our thing is ‘Indian Modern’. We love seeing homes come alive with sunlight, open corners, and bits of tradition. For us, a house is more than walls. It’s where life happens, and every bit should feel honest, cozy, and yours.
