My Yoga Journey and Philosophy

Yoga is more than just a workout; it is a way of life that connects the body, breath, and mind. Here is a look at what grounds my practice, my teaching, and my journey.

If we just smile. Sometimes the simplest act can change everything. I believe in choosing happiness and sharing positive vibes, because smiles are contagious.

On World Yoga Day, my wish is for our collective practice to spread love and compassion. Let's honor this day by choosing a path of peace, respecting all creatures, and nurturing our planet.

A moment of meditation in Padmasana (Lotus Pose) under a banyan tree. This is where I connect to my center, finding the stillness that I aim to share with all my students.

A visit to the Kamakhya temple, a sacred Shakti Peeth, was a powerful experience. It deepened my understanding of the divine feminine energy that I honor in my practice and in every woman.

About this collection

I do not teach from a manual; I teach from my life. Whether we are working on alignment at my Lavelle Road studio or discussing Dinacharya (daily routine) over tea, I want you to understand that yoga is a work-in, not a workout. You will notice my sessions are heavy on props and precision because I want every body—regardless of past injuries or flexibility—to find their own version of stability.

Yoga for me is a constant evolution. I started this path decades ago, finding the Iyengar method to be the most honest way to understand my own structure. That is why you will find my classes at Lavelle Road are never about holding a perfect pose. Instead, we use chairs, blocks, and ropes to support the body, allowing you to breathe into the discomfort and release it.

My life off the mat is just as important as the time spent on it. Being a plant-based vegan is not a restriction; it is my way of honoring the connection between what I eat and how I feel. I believe in integrating Ayurvedic principles to keep our rhythm in sync with nature.

When you walk into my studio, you are walking into my home. There is no pressure to perform. If you are looking for a space where you can be raw, honest, and maybe wobble a bit while laughing at yourself, this is it. We are not just training muscles; we are training the mind to be kind. Whether you are dealing with an injury or just looking to slow down, my role is to help you listen to your own body, not mine.
