About Specialized Yoga: Seniors & Prenatal

For prenatal sessions, I often use a chair or wall support for balance rather than just floor mats, especially in the third trimester. It takes the pressure off and makes the movement feel much safer and more supportive.

Finding the right rhythm in yoga depends entirely on your current stage of life. My approach to senior mobility and prenatal wellness focuses on adaptation rather than strict adherence to standard postures.

Specialized Yoga for Seniors

My sessions for seniors focus on Hatha-based movements designed to improve joint mobility, balance, and stability. We prioritize:

  • Chair Yoga: Useful for those with limited mobility, allowing for stretching and strengthening without the need to get on and off the floor repeatedly.
  • Breathwork: 5-10 minutes of guided Pranayama to improve lung capacity and focus.
  • Gentle Warm-ups: Loosening stiff joints and improving circulation to manage day-to-day discomfort.

Prenatal Yoga

During pregnancy, the goal is to prepare your body for childbirth while managing the physical changes of each trimester. I focus on:

  • Lower Back Relief: Specific stretches to alleviate the common tightness that comes with carrying extra weight.
  • Endurance Training: Building core stability and pelvic floor awareness to support you through labor.
  • Stress Reduction: Using meditation and breathwork to ensure you feel calm and rested.

These sessions are available for home visits across Delhi NCR, or you can join my group classes in Dwarka. We keep things simple, safe, and entirely focused on what feels good for your body right now.
