Outdoor Fitness & Advanced Yoga Training
Fitness does not have to be stuck in a gym. From park railings to tree climbing, I turn outdoor spaces into playgrounds for functional strength and advanced yoga.
Pushing my own flexibility with a full split on the parallel bars at an outdoor park. I love using my surroundings to challenge my body and find new ways to build strength and mobility.
Practicing a variation of the elbow stand (Pincha Mayurasana) in the park. This inversion is excellent for building shoulder and core strength while improving balance.
Working on an advanced variation of the camel pose (Ustrasana) using park equipment for support. This deep backbend helps to open up the entire front of the body.
Who needs a gym when you have trees? Functional fitness is about using your body in real-world ways, and climbing is a fantastic full-body workout.
Using the railings at a park to practice a pseudo-planche push-up. This calisthenics move is a great progression for building the upper body strength needed for a full planche.
An advanced flexibility and strength pose I practice outdoors. This requires significant back mobility and control, and I guide my students through progressions to build up to such poses safely.
A skipping or jump rope routine is one of my favorite cardio workouts. In this video, I demonstrate different techniques, from basic jumps to single-leg variations, to keep it effective and fun.
A core workout sequence using a ball for added resistance. This includes leg raises and crunches, all done outdoors to enjoy the fresh air while strengthening the abdominals.
Taking the crow pose (Bakasana) to new heights. Performing this arm balance on top of a slide, about 10 feet up, adds an extra challenge of focus and stability.
A standing split using a pole at the park for support. This is an amazing stretch for the hamstrings and hips, and using equipment can help deepen the pose.
About Outdoor Fitness & Advanced Poses
I use whatever the park provides to help you level up. Whether it is using a pull-up bar for deep splits or turning a slide into a base for arm balances, my outdoor sessions are about making every inch of your surroundings part of your gym.
Nature offers the best resistance. My outdoor sessions are built on the principles of functional training and calisthenics, moving away from machines to help you build real-world strength. When we train in Dwarka parks, we focus on moving your body in ways that improve your daily life and athletic capability.
What to Expect in Outdoor Training
- Calisthenics & Bodyweight Flows: We use park benches, bars, and trees to build strength. You will learn to control your own body weight through dips, pull-ups, and holds.
- Advanced Flexibility: If you are chasing that first split or want to deepen your backbends, we use park equipment as props to safely push your range of motion.
- Balance & Inversions: Getting comfortable upside down takes practice. I provide the spotting and safety checks you need to master poses like the elbow stand or crow pose, even in an open park setting.
- Nature as Your Gym: Training outdoors improves your mental focus and provides fresh air that you just cannot get in a studio.
Whether you are an athlete looking to improve your calisthenics game or someone who wants to take their yoga practice out of the living room, these sessions are tailored to your current level. We focus on progressions, ensuring you stay safe while challenging yourself to reach new heights.
