For me, the most beautiful part of being a dancer is not the applause itself, but the energy connection with the audience. In the Jaipur Gharana, we believe that the performance is incomplete without the Rasikas—the conscious, appreciative audience.

Why We Host Baithaks

These events are a cornerstone of our community. They serve as a milestone for my students, giving them a platform to apply their training, whether it's their first time on stage or they are seasoned performers. You will see glimpses of:

• The Shiva Tandav: A powerful composition that demands immense physical discipline and focus.
• Children's Performances: Seeing the youngest students grasp the concept of Abhinaya (expressions) is often the highlight of the evening.
• The Legacy: Performances that honor the technical nuances taught by my mother and Guru, Smt. Radhika Sathe.

These showcases are the culmination of the discipline we build in our classes. If you are watching these videos and feeling inspired to pick up your ghungroos, please know that we welcome beginners at every age. Whether you choose our online Zoom sessions or prefer in-person training at our Vile Parle studio, the goal remains the same: learning to find your own voice through this classical art form.
