Welcome to my world of Kathak. Here, I share glimpses of my performances, the soul of the Lucknow Gharana, and the sacred tradition of my gurus that guides every step I take.

This is a performance of a beautiful Paran set to Teentaal, a rhythmic cycle of 16 beats. For me, Kathak is a spiritual practice, and performing amidst nature connects me deeply to the art form.

With the blessings of my Gurus, I am happy to share glimpses from my regular Kathak classes at Acacia Studio in Andheri West, Mumbai. My classes are open to all sincere learners who wish to immerse themselves in the discipline and beauty of the Lucknow Gharana.

It fills my heart with immense pride to see my student, Ishani, with her award from the Bal Kala Utsav national competition. Nurturing the dedication of my students is the most rewarding part of my journey as a teacher.

I am deeply humbled and grateful to have received the Rashtriya Achiever Award for my work in Kathak. This recognition is a blessing from my gurus and strengthens my resolve to share this divine art form.

This performance is an expressive piece, 'Sab Ban Than Aai Shyam Pyari', a composition that is very close to the heart of every Kathak dancer. It portrays the devotion and love of a sakhi for Lord Krishna through the art of Abhinaya, or storytelling.

A precious moment with my guru, Saswati Sen ji. Her guidance is the light of my artistic path. The Guru-Shishya parampara, or the tradition of learning from a master, is the foundation of my practice and my teaching.

A dynamic moment captured during a stage performance at the CIDCO Auditorium in Navi Mumbai. The energy of a live audience is truly special, and I cherish every opportunity to share the vibrant spirit of Kathak.

A glimpse from the Kathak Darpan workshop at Nehru Centre, Mumbai, where we explored a beautiful Tukda in Jait Taal. It is a joy to dance and learn together, creating a community bound by our shared love for Kathak.

About Featured

When I step on stage or into the studio, it is not just about the technical precision of Teentaal or the grace of a Gat Nikas. It is an act of surrender, a dialogue between the rhythm of my ghungroos and the blessings of my gurus. Whether I am breaking down a complex Paran in a workshop or guiding a student through their first spins, my focus remains on the purity of the Lucknow Gharana.
