About Choreography & Performance Services
Kathak: My Sadhana, My Story
Kathak is my way of connecting with something bigger than myself. It’s not just steps or rhythm - it’s sadhana (dedicated practice), a legacy from my Guru, my mother. I carry the Jaipur Gharana tradition, which has been in my family for 40 years, and I try to make it feel alive and relevant for anyone watching or dancing with me.
Performance Formats
I perform solo, duet, and group dance productions for festivals, private events, and corporate shows. My solo recitals go deep into classical Kathak choreography, like my production "Nritya Arpan". Dancing with my troupe brings a different energy, especially in ensemble pieces. I also love baithak concerts - those small, sit-down gatherings where the audience is right there, feeling every beat.
My repertoire covers pure classical (Tarana, Thumri, Bhajans) and big thematic productions like "Yatra". I can perform with live musicians or recorded tracks, depending on what the event needs.
Choreography & Creative Work
I choreograph for stage productions, events, and folk or contemporary dance fusion projects. Sometimes I reinterpret traditional bandishes (compositions) to give them a fresh twist. I specialize in storytelling through movement (Abhinaya) and help dancers connect emotionally with their pieces. Folk styles like Ghoomar and Kalbeliya, and fusion with film or rock music, are also part of my creative palette.
Collaborations & Community
I love working with other artists, brands, and institutions. Past collaborations include NCPA, digital media platforms, and artistic campaigns. I curate events and offer paid performance opportunities for dancers in Mumbai and Pune. My work travels - I’m open to projects across India and abroad.
If you want something honest, rooted, and a little bit experimental, I’m here for it.

My Story
I’m that Nari in a saree—beach, playground, wherever—always dancing. Kathak’s in my blood, thanks to my mom, Guru Radhika Sathe, who’s been living this art for 40+ years. At 16, I was told, ‘be excellent or don’t go on stage.’ So I danced everywhere, even online, found my own groove. Now, I carry forward our Kathak Nritya Mandir, grateful for every step, and for the new little one joining our journey.
