Our Data-Driven Sports Performance Assessment
Stop guessing your progress. We use sports science tools like dynamometers and jump mats to identify the root cause of your pain or performance plateau.
This video provides an inside look at our objective evaluation process. We use a handheld dynamometer to measure muscle force output in kilogram-force, testing not just the primary movers but the entire kinetic chain, including hip abductors and adductors. This data allows us to create a precise, effective rehabilitation and strength program.
Old injuries often linger because the root cause was never addressed. We start every client journey with a full-body assessment, including musculoskeletal screening and strength testing, to understand your unique mobility restrictions, weaknesses, and movement patterns. This allows us to fix the real problem, not just the symptom.
Stop guessing your progress. This video explains the three ways we track performance: regular assessments to test speed and strength, data from technology like jump mats and wearables, and subjective feedback on how you feel. This holistic approach ensures your training is guided by real insights, not guesswork.
This is our assessment flow. We use a battery of tests including movement screens, jump mat analysis for vertical power, dynamometer testing for isometric strength, and timing gates for sprint metrics. This comprehensive data forms the blueprint for your personalized training program.
A performance test is not a simple fitness test. Our assessments are designed to uncover critical details like left vs. right leg power imbalances, neuromuscular readiness, force-velocity profiles, and rate of force development (RFD). These are the data points that allow us to build a program that truly addresses your needs.
About Our Data-Driven Assessment Process
During our 90-minute diagnostic assessment, we don't just focus on the area causing you pain. We use handheld dynamometers to measure your force output in kilograms and force plates to detect specific left-right asymmetries, giving you an objective, data-backed report on your body's current biomechanics that informs every step of your rehab or training plan.
Moving Beyond Generic Fitness Testing
Most gyms conduct a simple fitness test that tells you what you can do today. We conduct a performance assessment that tells us why you move the way you do. At RSF, we treat every client like an athlete, whether you are returning from surgery or looking to increase your squat max.
The Diagnostic Flow
When you book an assessment at our Koramangala or Jayamahal facilities, we follow a strict evidence-based sequence:
- Movement Screening: We watch you squat, lunge, and hinge to identify compensations and mobility restrictions that lead to injury.
- Force Analysis: Using handheld dynamometers, we measure isometric strength in specific muscle groups, identifying exactly where your power output lags.
- Reactive Strength: We use jump mats to assess your ground reaction forces and landing mechanics, which is vital for anyone managing knee or ankle issues.
- Video Capture: We film your movement patterns in slow motion to spot energy leaks or form breakdowns that the naked eye misses.
Why Data Matters
We do not guess. If your hamstring keeps straining, we do not just give you stretches. We look at your sprint mechanics, your deceleration patterns, and your force-velocity profile to see why the tissue is failing. By quantifying your readiness, we remove the guesswork from your recovery timeline and training intensity. You walk away not just with a workout plan, but with a clear roadmap of your strengths, your red flags, and your specific goals for the next training block.
Rapid Sport Fitness
I'm Chelston from the RSF team. We believe training should be built on hard data rather than assumptions. When you walk through our doors, we first look for the gaps in your movement so we can build a plan that actually sticks.
