Whether you are aiming for your first 10k or chasing a new marathon personal best, I help you build the strength and strategy to cross that finish line feeling strong.

The Nandi Hills Monsoon Run is a race to remember. The challenge of the hills and the beauty of the monsoon weather make it a unique and rewarding experience.

A Sunday morning well spent with the crew at the Nandi Monsoon Run. It is always amazing to take on a new route and share the experience with fellow runners.

A beautiful Saturday morning for a long run with the Puma session group at Cubbon Park. Consistent long runs are the backbone of any marathon or half marathon training plan.

As a pacer for the Bengaluru Runners Jatre, I had the pleasure of helping runners achieve their personal bests. It is an absolute 'jatre' of an event with music, food, and amazing energy.

The pacer team for the Bengaluru Runners Jatre. All the pacers for this event are coaches, which brings a high level of expertise and support for all the participants.

Leading the 65-minute 10k bus at the Bengaluru Runners Jatre. It is incredibly fulfilling to help others hit their time goals and celebrate their success at the finish line.

The energy at the TCSW10k expo is always vibrant. It is a great time to meet and greet fellow runners before the big race day.

About this collection

The biggest mistake I see runners make is ignoring the strength component of race prep. It is not just about logging miles; it is about the hours you put in with bands and core drills to bulletproof your body against injuries. When we work together, we do not just follow a calendar. We break down your gait, check your form, and manage your load so you arrive at the start line ready to perform, not just participate.

Smart Training, Real Results

Racing is a mental game, but it is also a mechanical one. I have spent 14 years in this sport, learning through trial and error, recovering from fractures, and managing asthma. I bring all that experience to your training plan. Whether you are training for the Tata Mumbai Marathon or the local Bengaluru Runners Jatre, we focus on what actually works for your body.

My Approach to Race Coaching

  • Form & Mechanics: We look at your gait analysis to identify issues like heel striking. I also provide guidance if you are transitioning to barefoot or minimalist running.
  • Hybrid Strength: Running isn't enough. We incorporate functional circuits, plyometrics, and resistance work to improve your running economy and power. If you are doing Hyrox or obstacle races, we train specifically for that 'compromised running'—where you have to run fast immediately after heavy strength work.
  • Load Management: This is where many runners get it wrong. We use data—heart rate, pace, cadence—to ensure we are not overtraining. We phase your mileage, taper correctly for your race, and adjust for those days when life gets in the way.

The 'Jatre' Community

I believe training should be fun. You will find me pacing at events, leading group sessions at Cubbon Park, or out on long runs at HSR Layout. When you train with me, you are not just getting a spreadsheet of intervals; you are joining a tribe that shows up, sweats together, and celebrates every small win—whether it is a new PB or just showing up to a session on a rainy morning.

I’m Shanthi. I believe fitness is a lifelong jatre. I have gone from battling stress fractures and asthma to podium finishes, and I use that exact same trial-and-error approach to help you train. We don’t chase perfection here—we chase progress, one kilometer at a time.
