Join our weekly grind for a community-led 'jatre' of movement. We build functional strength, mobility, and core stability in the heart of Bengaluru's best outdoor spots.

A typical Wednesday grind with the crew. We combined a tough core workout with a short run, because building a strong foundation is key to improving your running performance and preventing injuries.

Building core stability with the team. Exercises like side planks are a staple in our sessions because a strong core is the powerhouse for every runner. We work together to hold each other accountable.

Taking on the hills together! Hill sprints are fantastic for building explosive power and mental toughness. The energy in these sessions is always incredible, pushing everyone to give their best.

Conquering another Wednesday with sprint repeats. These sessions are designed to improve your speed and running economy, making you a faster and more efficient runner.

Another fun and effective session using resistance bands. Banded workouts are great for activating key muscle groups and improving stability, which is crucial for injury-free running.

Another rocking Wednesday core workout with this amazing group. A strong core is the foundation for every successful run, and the support from this crew makes the hard work feel like fun.

Getting stronger together as we prepare for the upcoming race season. Each training session is a step towards our goals, building both physical strength and a determined mindset.

About this collection

If you think group workouts are just about sweating it out, you’re only getting half the story. In these sessions, we focus on functional strength—using resistance bands, bodyweight drills, and plyometrics—specifically designed to bulletproof your body against running injuries. It is early morning movement, but the energy we create together is enough to wake up the whole of Koramangala.

Our Approach to Functional Strength

I do not believe in cookie-cutter workouts. My group sessions are built around the concept of 'movement for life.' Whether you are a runner looking to increase your cadence or someone wanting to feel more capable in your day-to-day, we focus on what your body can actually do.

We train in rotation at outdoor venues like HSR BDA Complex and Cubbon Park. Training in the open air adds a level of unpredictability that helps build real-world stability. You won’t find fancy machines here. Instead, we use resistance bands, agility ladders, and our own body weight to engage muscles that often go dormant in a typical gym setting.

What You Get:

  • Injury Prevention: We emphasize mobility and banded activations to ensure your joints are as strong as your muscles.
  • Core-Focused Stability: Planks, leg raises, and rotational movements are the foundation of every session because a strong core is the engine for every runner.
  • Explosive Power: We incorporate plyometrics and sprint drills to help you generate more force and improve your overall speed.
  • Community Accountability: This is the best part. When you are tired at 5:40 AM, having a 'bunch' counting reps with you makes all the difference. It is about showing up for yourself, and for each other.

Logistics & Requirements

These sessions are best suited for those who can commit to early mornings. You just need to bring your own yoga mat, hydration, and a 'let's get it done' attitude. If you have any specific niggles—asthma, previous fractures, or just general fatigue—let me know before we start. I keep the intensity high, but we always tailor the movements to ensure everyone stays safe and progresses.
