Life Beyond the Workout: My Fitness Journey

Fitness is a huge part of my life, but it is not the only part. From marathon miles to saree smiles, and sprouted moong to travel retreats, this is how I balance it all.

A Sunday well spent celebrating Onam. A good run in the morning, followed by making a pookolam and enjoying a delicious sadhya with my lovely students.

A week in Kolkata was a delight. From the architecture to the food, especially the mishti doi and kulhad chai, it was a trip filled with fun, friends, and exploration.

Fun in London. Exploring this dream city, with its historical beauty and vibrant streets, is always an adventure.

A plate of freshly sprouted moong beans. This is my go-to natural, vegan source of protein and fiber, perfect for a post-workout snack to refuel my body.

Just for fun. Sometimes you just need to switch things up and drape a beautiful saree.

About last night at the launch event for the Bangalore Sports Foundation. It is always nice to see the running community dressed up and celebrating together.

About this collection

You won't find a 'no-fun' rulebook here. Whether we're refueling with sprouted moong after a Sunday long run at Cubbon Park or dressing up for community events, my approach is about balance. I live what I coach, and I firmly believe that the best workout is the one you actually look forward to doing.

I like to call this my 'jatre' of fitness. To me, a truly healthy lifestyle isn't just about how many burpees you can do, but about how you fill the time in between. It is about creating a community where we celebrate the extra rep just as much as we celebrate a festive Onam sadhya together.

Why Balance Matters

Many people think they have to choose between a social life and a fitness journey. I’m here to show you that you don't. My 'tribe' is built on the idea that consistency beats intensity. If you are training for a 10K or a full marathon, the strategy we use at Cubbon Park or HSR Layout is designed to be sustainable. If you are burned out, you won't show up. We make sure you actually want to show up.

My Daily Rhythm

  • Fueling: You'll often see me sharing quick, natural snacks like sprouted moong. It’s simple, vegan, and packed with the protein and fiber you need for recovery without the processed additives.
  • Community: Whether it’s a group run in Bengaluru or a retreat in nature, the energy of the group acts as a natural motivator. We aren't competing for perfection; we are just trying to beat yesterday.
  • Real Life: Yes, I travel. Yes, I enjoy the food. And yes, I have days where I need a break. Being honest about those moments helps my clients realize that fitness is a long-term path, not a sprint.

If you are looking for a coach who understands that you have a life outside the gym, let's talk. We will get your strength and stamina up, but we will have a lot of fun doing it.

I’m Shanthi, and while I love a tough Hyrox session, I’m just as likely to be found exploring a new city or enjoying a quiet Onam lunch. I believe fitness is a tool to live a richer life, not a reason to miss out on the good stuff. Join our tribe, and let's find that sweet spot between working hard and having a blast.
