This is me, Karuna, in a moment of deep meditation in the Himalayas. I believe that connecting with nature is a powerful way to connect with ourselves, and I bring this sense of peace and grounding to every session I guide.

We all know 'Pehla sukh nirogi kaya', but do we take out time for our health? I invite you to make yoga a part of your daily routine, even if it's just for one hour, to achieve true physical and mental wellness.

In this video, I explain the science behind Bhramari Pranayama (the humming bee breath). Just a single humming sound can increase beta waves in the brain, which helps improve concentration and provides relief from headaches and migraines.

Why should we practice pranayama? I answer this question and explain how breathing exercises are essential for relaxing the mind and preparing yourself for a deeper state of meditation.

About Yoga & Pranayama for Holistic Health

Many people come to me worried that they aren't 'flexible enough' for yoga, but we don't start with complex poses. In my sessions at Aura Yog Centre, we use props and modifications to ensure your body feels safe, focusing specifically on relieving cervical and back pain while slowly building your capacity.

Why Pranayama Matters

Most of us breathe shallowly throughout the day, which keeps our nervous system in a constant state of 'fight or flight.' In my classes, we don't just do physical asanas. I integrate Pranayama (breathwork) because it is the quickest way to calm a racing mind. Whether it is Bhramari (humming bee breath) to help with migraines or simple Nadi Shodhana to balance your energy, you will learn techniques you can actually use when you are stressed at work or struggling to sleep.

My Approach to Wellness

I believe health is not just about muscles; it is about how you feel from within. At my Shalimar Bagh studio, I keep the environment calm—dimmed lights, comfortable mats, and a space where you don't feel judged.

  • For Beginners: We focus on alignment and safety to fix posture issues and stiffness.
  • For Pain Relief: I provide specific modifications for those dealing with chronic back pain or cervical discomfort.
  • For Mental Clarity: We end sessions with guided relaxation, which helps release the psychosomatic stress that causes tension.

Studio Experience

We practice in small groups of 8 to 12 people. This is intentional. It allows me to correct your posture personally, just like I would if I were guiding a friend. If you cannot make it to the studio in Shalimar Bagh, I also conduct these sessions online with the same personal attention.
