Advanced Asana & Ashtanga Vinyasa Practice
A practice-focused space for experienced students and teachers to refine alignment, build inversion strength, and deepen backbends together.
Your practice will not be the same every day. This video shows the ups and downs, from a challenging handstand to a deep backbend. Just show up and hug yourself tight.
Found this hollow back Chakrasana picture from 2016. The journey of back-bending is long, but with consistent practice, the body starts to open up.

Another happy student in a deep seated twist and hip-opener. It's wonderful to see students explore their limits with a smile.

About Go Deeper: Advanced Asana & Ashtanga
In these Sadhana batches, we move past basic poses to work on inversions, arm balances, and deep backbends using props like belts and chairs to ensure safe progress. My classes are limited to small groups, which allows me to provide personal manual adjustments and the spotting you need to safely push your boundaries without fear.
Advanced yoga isn't about being flexible enough to show off; it is about having the discipline to show up for your practice every single day. My Sadhana batches are designed for students who already have a solid foundation and want to deepen their understanding of Ashtanga Vinyasa.
We focus heavily on the 'how'—how to transition into a handstand, how to engage the core for backbends, and how to use the wall as a teacher for Pincha Mayurasana. You will find that I don't just instruct from the front of the room. I walk around, correct your posture, and help you understand where your body is holding tension.
Whether you join us in-studio at Andheri West or Malad West, or connect via our live Zoom sessions, the expectation is the same: consistency. We spend a lot of time on hip openers and twists, which helps prepare the body for the more demanding series. This class is for those who are ready to move from 'doing' yoga to 'practicing' yoga. Remember what I often tell my students: subko sub kuch nahe milta, jo mila he usme khush rahena sikna hey. We practice to get stronger, but we accept exactly where our body is today.
