Ready to level up your flow? From nailing that first handstand to mastering the jump-back, we break down complex inversions into logical, safe steps.

Here is my wife Neelam, a dedicated student, making amazing progress in her Pincha Mayurasana practice. It's a joy to watch her build strength and confidence in such a challenging inversion. This is what consistent practice looks like.

Today's practice was all about jumping into Kakasana (Crow Pose) and then back to Chaturanga. This transition requires a lot of core engagement and arm strength. It’s a powerful way to build control and add a dynamic element to your flow.

A perfect Sunday morning includes a yoga mat, beautiful sunshine, and a playful flow. Here I am moving through a sequence that includes the Flying Lizard pose, an arm balance that challenges both strength and hip flexibility.

If you have been thinking about starting your yoga journey, today is the day. This Chakrasana drop-back is a celebration of what our bodies can achieve with practice. Don't wait for the perfect moment, just begin.

Laugh, love, breathe, and strike a pose. This balancing asana is a reminder to find joy and stability in the present moment. Even when a pose is challenging, a smile makes everything lighter.

About Advanced Asana & Dynamic Flows

Advanced flow is not about holding the perfect pose. It is about the transition. We work specifically on the control required to move from Chaturanga into inversions, ensuring your wrists and shoulders stay protected as you build your core strength.

I see many people rush into inversions, but in my sessions, we decode the alignment first. Advanced yoga is just the basics done with a little more courage and a lot more core engagement.

Whether we are practicing at my Whitefield studio or connecting via Zoom, I provide live verbal adjustments and spotting techniques to ensure you are not just performing the pose, but understanding the biomechanics behind it. We focus on the 'why' and 'how' of every movement, from jump-throughs to complex arm balances like Pincha Mayurasana.

What we cover in these sessions:

  • Inversion Prep: Drills to build the shoulder stability needed for Headstands and Handstands.
  • Logical Sequencing: Moving from breath-led Vinyasa into challenging peaks without straining.
  • Transition Control: Learning to jump back from Crow (Kakasana) into Chaturanga without hitting the floor.
  • Safety First: Detailed breakdown of how to use props like blocks to support your wrists and deepen your range of motion.

Practice is not a linear path. Some days you will float, other days you will fall, and both are equally important for your growth. My approach is to keep the energy high and the pressure low, so you can push your limits safely. Whether you are in Bengaluru or joining from your living room, bring your energy and be ready to get sweaty.

I’m Neelam, a coder-turned-yogi who loves the logic behind a good flow. Advanced practice to me means showing up, falling over, and having a laugh while you build strength. Let’s work on your inversions and transitions together.
