Move beyond the poses to find true calm. Join me for retreats where we explore pranayama, meditation, and silence, helping you reconnect with your inner stillness.

संतोषम् परम् सुखम्. Contentment is the highest happiness. This is the core of my teaching, captured here in a simple flow in nature. Finding joy in what is, right now, is the ultimate goal of yoga.

Practicing Nadi Shodhana pranayama, or alternate nostril breathing, in a peaceful park in Dharamkot. This breathing technique is incredibly calming for the nervous system and helps us cultivate patience.

"What if the setback was just part of the setup?" A reflective flow with a powerful message. My practice is a space to contemplate these thoughts and trust that life is happening for you, not to you.

From darkness to light, a meditation on a quote by Hubert Reeves. We worship an invisible God but destroy visible Nature, unaware that Nature is the God we are destroying. This is a call to honor the sacred in the world around us.

A flow that embodies both strength and softness, from Compass Pose to Upward-Facing Dog. Yoga teaches us that these two qualities can and should coexist within us.

Don't just move, flow with purpose. A mindful headstand flow in the park, where every movement is intentional and connected to the breath. This is how we turn asana into a moving meditation.

While the body benefits from movement, the mind benefits from stillness. This video shows a simple flow from a standing backbend to a forward fold, a practice that both energizes and calms.

Being okay if it happens and okay if it doesn't is a powerful place to be. Here in an Eagle Pose, or Garudasana, I am reminded of the freedom that comes with detachment.

Practicing Surya Namaskar with a friend. I am at a stage in life where I am ready to invest in new bonds, but not in rebuilding bonds that I didn't break. This is a practice of honoring my energy.

Nobody can be anybody without somebody being around. So why the ego? A sun salutation practice on a hill in Nashik, reflecting on our interconnectedness.

About Beyond the Mat: Mindfulness & Stillness

On my retreats, we do not just practice on the mat. We integrate nature-based sessions, from forest bathing in Himachal to river meditation in Rishikesh, to help you ground yourself in the five elements. It is about building a sustainable practice that you can carry back to your daily life, not just one that stays at the resort.
